There is a certain difference in what you said and what he claim. According to Al-Zakir he is pure muslim from middle east as he is not dhoti loving hindu convert that he accused others numerous time.
N regarding whether he likes or not Bengali culture it is nobody`s concern. But he does use abusive language to the bengali people even for wearing saree or tip, celebrating pohela boisakh and using the current national anthem and following any poem or song written by any hindu poet and in somes muslim also. Is it justifiable to you!!!!
He is just expressing his opinions which is his right, but as I replied to his post, you know that I do not support abusive language from anyone.
Nobody is pure Muslim, even Sahaba's were converted and apart from Arabs in Arabian peninsula in oasis and deserts, almost all Arabic speaking population in Arab world used to speak different language, before they were Arabized. This includes Syrians, Lebanese, Egyptians, Berbers in North Africa etc. Persians were converted and mixed with Arabs. Later Turkic and Turko-Mongol migrants did the same, after settling down they mixed with local population.
So even so called "Ashraf" are of mixed heritage. So all of us carry local genes, there is no denying it, some more and some less.
Personally I think it is foolish to think that Arabs, Turkics, Persians, Afghans are any superior to local people, but there is no reason why we should deny any part of our heritage, local or foreign, which the Bengal Renaissance group from Kolkata was trying to do with their promotion of Bengali Nationalism, which is to deny this "foreign" and imported heritage and lineage of Bengali Muslim culture and focusing only on the local Hindu part.
The culture of Vedic Brahman's supposedly was also imported from outside India, some say from Southern Russia, the Urheimat of Proto-Indo-Europeans. So Brahmans and Kshatrya's are not local either. Some say that in order to prevent race mixing they created this caste system, so they do not have to mix with dark skinned Adivasi/dalit locals.
Note also that Islam and Muslims are the greatest race mixers of the world from the beginning of Islamic expansion. If you consider race mixing as a good thing, which I do, since I believe that race-mixing will be able to end racism on this planet, then you should celebrate the race mixing tradition of Islamic culture and not celebrate the exclusivist caste oppression of Hindu culture.
