If we dont buy Gripen NG. I would like to buy 32 JF-17 X, 32 J-10 X and a 32 J-31 X with 2 trainer version each if they offer better avonics and options then some west ACs.

Best would be 48 jf-17, 28 j-10 , 2 aesa awacs zd03k 5-8 k-8 trainers(will train you on Advance jets like j-10 and j-17) and all the weapons list you can get with these they come with auto Jamming pods, Cm-400 akg aircraftcarrier killer, c-803 and sd-10 and pl-9c(python-4) HMD/IRST etc and the Awacs is a force multiplyer you wont be blind when using awacs but the enemy will be because you can shut your radar and comunicate through data link and be silent and deadly in a2a a2g comes with a ir targeting pods too.

AND JOin the JF-17 PROJECT because Pakistan will definatly make another 5th GEn with China and you can get in on it like how the nato countries did and also you can join in with pakistan in developing ALCM and LACM for future use

pakistan had paid for them before the sanctions they got those back and then the rest they bought used so they didnot pay $60 million a Plane

Weird fact: America imposed sanctions on PAF's F-86's during the 65' war.

I don't think you read his post carefully.

The BAF currently operate mostly Chinese and Russian aircraft. And much of its avionics and inventory are only compatible with Chinese and Russian platforms.

Acquiring a US or any NATO platform would require a complete overhaul of BAF's complete system. Additionally, Western birds typically require more infrastructure than Russian ones. And this would be prohibitively expensive for a cash-strapped force such as BAF.

In the past, the integration of Chinese and Russian systems into the Uslan-class frigate was a very costly matter. Typically, the Koreans use mostly American equipment, and that frigate was originally only compatible with NATO systems. And that explained the high cost of the acquisition.

The Americans would never supply Bangladesh with fancy toys like Harpoons and such. Let alone F-16's. Though, that is not to say that they hate us or anything. And sometimes, it is best to keep a low profile.

American weapon acquisitions always make a lot of noise throughout the global media for some strange reason. And for a poor, weak and 3rd world nation like Bangladesh, that would not bode too well for its image, as much as for suppliers like Boeing, SAAB, etc.

I really do want Bangladesh to have a strong military. I'd even go for F-35's and F-15's if wallet and politics allowed us to. Screw Gripen NG! :lol: But, let's stay patient and realistic.

Before anything, can we please remove the current illiterates and their lackeys who are ruling our nation!?

Any GOVT who rule in BD are currapted. They even dont take any action to stop curraption. All of they are DALAL.

Our AF cant go for JF-17 because of our current GOVT and its foolish supporters. what about JF-17 Block 3

yea they always do They imposed sanction after 1998 test and their were like 36 f-16 pakistan already paid for and then when the sanctions lifted during war on terror pakistan got those and then got some donated to them by the US and also Bought Used i think from turkey, and all of them I think are still not delivered so pakistan basically did not pay nothing and also got Upgrades for free as a aid to ally in war on terror, But now they gona get sanctioned again because of iran pakistan pipeline around 2015 or so, then whatever f-16s are not delivered will be held again in the arms embargo, thats why China is reliable russia has too strong of ties with india to sell you top of the line equipment even the su-30 they sold to malaysia are inferior to mki and chinese j-11

YOu have to have awacs for BAngla AIr force other wise you are loosing a big advantage just look at what happend with mig29 of iraq in the first gulf war they got plucked out of skies and they did not even know who hit em from where all thanks to awacs and electronic warfare equipment and BVR weapons

@abushaleh

they are still developing block 2 it suppose to finish by 2014 and start induction and then i think the block 3 would be 5th gen based stealth fighter

what new in JF17 Block 2?
Irst Possible new smaller version of the aesa radar based on the j-10b because the current radar klj7 is bassed on klj10 which is used in j-10a and the j-10b is being tested with irst and aesa radar with a more powerfull engine thats why paf orders are on hold and are in evaluation phase possibly because they want aesa radar in block 2 jf-17

Can JF-17 give a good fight with su-35?

you are not shopping vegetables (no offence to you )my friend, it doesn't work that way. multiple platform cannot be logistically supported, it will be a headache. instead what a country like yours should do is to go for a multirole fighter.

Can JF-17 give a good fight with su-35?
simple answer is by capability wise su35 is way ahead of jf17, but multiple jf17 can be brought for the price of one su35.

gripen for sure the most costly target drone practice for the rafael
Well, I know that we cant afford to buy right now. But in future we must replace our obsolate Fighters, may be after 2014. In future if we buy Fighters we should get the Gripen NG. After some research you may also say that we should go for Gripen NG.

Why I liked Gripen NG?

* Netcentric Fighter - A truly Network connected next generation multi-role fighter with the world’s most highly developed secure and multi-frequency data link.
* Superior Sensor Fusion – Latest generation avionic mission system with high computation power operating on ultra fast digital data bus highways.
* Smart Digital Cockpit - An advanced fully digital cockpit layout with large colour, Multi-Functional Displays (MFD) and Hands-On-Throttle-And-Stick (HOTAS) provides the pilot with a superior situation awareness.
* First to know - first to act - A combination of low radar, IR and visual signatures, along with a state-of-the-art AESA radar, an Infra Red Search and Track (IRST) sensor and superior sensor fusion, including world leading new generation weapons integration, ensure a high hit ratio in any engagement.
* Outstanding Agility - The world’s most agile fighter for close combat. A combination of advanced aerodynamic layout, utilizing a combined close-coupled canard – delta configuration and a triplex, digital Fly-By-Wire Flight Control System (FCS). A winning Dog-Fight capability in combination with the latest generation high off-bore sight missiles and Helmet Mounted Display (HMD).
* High Operational Tempo - Gripen’s high operational availability, rapid turnaround and minimal support requirements enables sustained high sortie rates providing Commanders the ability to meet the most demanding operations with minimum resources.
* Affordability - Gripen NG achieves the lowest operating cost of any modern fighter. This is accomplished by combining advanced system design and modern commercial off the shelf (COTS) components with the highly reliable and powerful General Electric F414G engine.

Some Sweet Features

* Multi-role capability
* Highly effective in all roles
* A powerful and proven engine
* AESA radar
* Advanced Communication systems
* Tactical Data Link
* Supercruise
* Advanced Electronic warfare
* Strategic reach
* Advanced Weapons Capacity
* Customer-specific weapons
* Combat radius : 1000+ km
* Ferry range : 4000+ km - with drop tanks

Cost

Price of a Fighter - 60+ Mil USD
Cost per hour of Flight - 4000 - 4500 USD

At last

I would like to see 48 Gripen NG and 2 Gripen NG trainer in our Air force. Gripen NG can do the work of EF Typhoon with a half price! Gripen NG is our Economy Friendly, its Cost per hour of Flight is 4000 - 4500 USD and Mig-29 Cost per hour of Flight is 6000-7000 USD or more. You might also know our f-7 also cost us 4000-4500 USD per hour of flight.

So what you think, Should we get the Gripen NG for Our Air force?

it can depends upon the pilots skill sometimes .in a dogfight pilots skill is the first .somehow an egypitian pilot managed to escape with his mig-21 is close dogfight with his counterpart the israeli mirrage-2000 .mirrage-2000 is much superior than the mig-21 but the pilot managed it .
Can JF-17 give a good fight with su-35?

you sure ? :D
not bad for a country with no serious enemys.
