Former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan held a meeting with German Ambassador Alfred Grannas and highlighted the ‘human rights violation’ in Pakistan, ARY News reported on Sunday.

In a statement issued on PTI’s official Twitter handle, the former premier and German Ambassador discussed ‘matters related to bilateral issues and mutual interest’ during the meeting.

During the meeting, Imran Khan apprised the dignity of his party’s political philosophy. He also highlighted the ‘human rights violation being carried out in Pakistan’.

The two personalities also discussed ‘negative impact’ of deviation from the Constitution on democracy. Meanwhile, Alfred Grannas highlighted the implications for GSP Plus status awarded to Pakistan.

Speaking on the occasion, Imran Khan maintained that his party was fully active for the supremacy of constitution and law and promotion of democracy.

He pointed out that democracy was based on guarantee of fundamental rights and establishment of government on the basis of public opinion. “PTI considers the people as the source of power in national decision-making in the light of the constitution”, he added.

Mr Khan certainly does some odd things, which is like shooting in one's own foot doesn't he?

The meeting between democratic parties is common, and is to be encouraged. The topic of human rights violations though, and he goes to inform this to a Western Country? Doesn't he know how they look at South Asia when it comes to this?

I mean he is someone who studied and stayed abroad, so he should know how they use human rights topic to beat down countries on this side of the world with. Politicians in Sub continent are sometimes so strange, and certainly have foot in mouth disease.

It could be worse. He could be meeting and taking pictures with people who call Pakistan a brothel. Oh wait, that was Nawaz, the supposedly Ill guy enjoying KFC and shopping in London.

"The Afghan NSA (Mohib), during a visit to Nangarhar province in May, called Pakistan a "brothel house", according to international reports"

Weldon, khan should meet each and every ambassador of European and American, tell them the fascist military generals unhuman activities against the PTI leadership and supporters, must hire forms and lobby in foreign countries , try to ban these fascist military generals and lumber 1 through UN
In kutton ko ban karao pori dunya sa

Why are all their panties in a twist all these paid harami lafafa journalists? This isn't just human rights violation going on but a witch hunt against IK, PTI, and its supporters in Pakistan with the backing of PA.

I was about to reply to that lafafa paid journalist then realized that comment section is off. The Bosreka knows that kuttay walli honni Thii iskaay saath comment section main. Bosreka can't handle criticism.

Well, sorry, but talking with a german ambassador about democracy is fruitless.

IK is trying to put pressure on the generals to hold elections fast. the longer the wait the more human rights violations and bad economic situation will become

Generals have a habit of not listening to anyone in the country as they consider them ''bloody civilians'', essentially their ''subjects'' or ''slaves''

it has to be the ''outsiders'' whether chineses, arabs, or westerners to put pressure. whether if it will have any impact or not is another question, outcomes will remain to be seen

What a coward talat is, he can't handle criticism or counter arguments so he's restricted his comments.

Also fool, I hope selling out your country is paying you handsomely, because once this is over you won't be making a penny doing this.

So now he is begging for a regime change with same west he accused of changing his regime??

He's not, he's asking them to stop supporting the corrupt in Pakistan, that's the message.

The short sightedness on PDF by its members is too damn high.

Slaves in the military and Estab. are controlled by the western gora masters, the Pak military is subservient, are the lapdogs, the puppets of US and west, by and large, the top brass and COAS specially.

So IK is trying to put a leash on, reign on the rogue, rentier military through the people who controls them and who call the shots.

This is much better than trying to talk, befriend, the army directly.

Im surprised they let this guy out of the nation. He needs to be kept in Zaman park until his cases are cleared. Anything less is a mockery of the courts.
