The sheaves of eye-witness accounts, documented in this book, prove beyond the shadow of a doubt that the massacre of West Pakistanis, Biharis and other non-Bengalis in East Pakistan had begun long before the Pakistan Army took punitive action against the rebels late in the night of March 25, 1971. It is also crystal clear that the Awami League’s terror machine was the initiator and executor of the genocide against the non-Bengalis which exterminated at least half a million of them in less than two months of horror and trauma. Many witnesses have opined that the federal Government acted a bit too late against the insurgents. The initial success of the federal military action is proved by the fact that in barely 30 days, the Pakistan Army, with a combat strength of 38,717 officers and men in East Pakistan, had squelched the Awami League’s March-April, 1971, rebellion all over the province.
Actually Mukti Bahini and Bengal Regiment personnel raped the Bihari and west Pakistani women killed about 800,000/ to 1,000,000/ innocent Biharis and West Pakistanis in East Pakistan in 1971. After the 16th of December 1971 Bangladeshis showed the dead bodies and graves of these innocent Biharis and Pakistanis as Bengali people killed by the Pakistan army.
bilalhaider said:I love the Bangladeshi people today, so I really hope you get past this ugly chapter in our history. No need for apologies from either side. Pakistan feels the pain of 1971 everyday, but in the end you got what you want. Now let's move past this and live as brothers. Peace.
I feel the same way. Today Pakistanis feel no hatred for Bangladeshis but certainly we don't want to go back to the past.
As for Imran, his views clearly shows his political immaturity. Though i support him but a politician always avoids giving views on a sensitive issue. This is still a sensitive issue and Imran is noone to decide and give his opinion on behalf of Pakistanis. He holds no political position to demand this. I am sure he didn't realize that he could offend a lot of people by saying this. His interview though was not given coverage but still it caused reaction from readers. I have seen letters to editor where people have complained about him rightly or wrongly. A bad political move by Imran!
the skirmish started on run of kuch by the way, then kashmir....and did Pakistan crossed the international border? mmmuuauahahhaha....
Its interesting to see that Pakistan rejected the Biharis and didn't let them in. Even when they killed and raped and pillaged in its name.
But they justify the atrocities in the name of the same Biharis!

The Biharis today are well settled in Bangladesh today. There are over 1 million Bengalis in Karachi alone. Pakistan DID let a Biharis in HUGE NUMBERS into Karachi btw right after 1971, which was the reason why there were ethnic riots between Sindhis, Punjabis and all other ethnicities against Biharis & other Muhajirs, which eventually resulted in the formation of the MQM in the 1980's. So you're quite wrong on many levels. And as I said, the Biharis in Bangladesh today have settled well in Bangladesh today, no point calling them today as they are Bangladeshi citizens.
The number of people killed by the Pakistani Army amount to about 30,000-50,000; while the Mukti Bahini terrorists killed about 1 million Biharis, & had started the massacre long before the Pakistani Army came into Bangladesh. In fact, Pakistan went into Bangladesh too late, the Awami League had clasped Bangladesh with its sharp claws.
Read about the Biharis that lived in UN camps for decades. Bangladesh didn't want them, they didn't want Bangladesh and Pakistan didn't let them in.
Bangladesh only allowed them citizenship after decades of living in those camps. Many would still want to come to Pakistan but they were betrayed.
You are almost always wrong with facts and figures and there is no point discussing this with you unless you get the basic facts right.

Search for "Operation Gibralter" and "Operation Grand Slam".
