Important message

do you think muse wishes cheng was wrong?

I can't say anything about Muse's views on this, but I will say this, knowing full well I have caught flak for it before and likely will this time too:

I see no reason to hope that a change in the status quo that will enable Pakistan to pull itself is possible. I continually look for positive evidence, and am sadly disappointed every time.

.
No it isn't.If you believe so, then each and every CIVILIAN GOVERNMENT will be an eyesore to you.

unfortunatly I can not see any political leader and or party with a realistic chance that is not tainted corrupt or intellectually challenged

Don't worry about the flak - it's only people who judge propositions on criteria such as "I like" or I Dislike" that will offer flak - plus you offer a voice to many. And it's appreciated

The fundamental problem, is that the current Zardari government (and other politicians) are either afraid or unwilling to carry out vital economic reforms.

Pakistan is the 6th largest country in the world by population, with a highly educated middle class.

Pakistan has enormous economic potential, but the current politicians are unwilling to develop it. Mostly for political reasons, for example on tax reform.

Politicians in Pakistan are busy playing musical chairs.

They really don't care about the people, many of them are dual nationals and hence Pakistan is a source of income for them. If they lose the elections, they will go and live abroad, may or may not comeback and hence would never be tried for their corruption and crimes.

the only people who claim China is some blank cheque giver is delusional

they have their interests, we have our own.....they will stand for their interests first, as will we...countries do that

it's stupid to put all eggs in one basket. . . where and when there are opportunities for mutual trade and growth, those options should be explored. We happen to have many mutual interests. But why should China blindly work with Pakistan -especially under such a dysfunctional government?

once the political parties mature, once the political environment becomes more conducive then we can realize further gains.....

people ought to put more pressure on the government to 'deliver' and serve the people.....Pakistan already proved it can be self-reliant and booming country, with bold leadership. It's bhutto-zardaris, sharifs, and all those baggage-handling losers who create political mess. Who wants to deal with a country whose leaders are always bickering and f*cking around.

but even with that said, our friendship is indeed a time-tested and cordial one...we've seen much mutual gains from the friendship, and i hope the friendship and partnership expands. We are neighbours, and allies. We have a basis for a strong bilateral relationship (civilian/commercial/military)

Well, look at it this way: It hasn't stopped me yet! :D

.
nothing has stopped you from living in Pakistan either and offering solutions. . .

. . . . . .
I think Pakistan should put 'economy' first. Even before Kashmir.

Do not know how many Pakistanis will buy that argument.
