The Ministry of Economy and Development Agency GIZ want to attract a new project professionals to Germany. It focuses on the subjects maths, computer science, natural sciences and technology.

Berlin - The German government wants to win with local consultants in India, Indonesia and Vietnam, workers in the fields of mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and technology (STEM) for work in Germany. "The consultants inform and advise interested professionals and assist them in finding a job," according to a paper in the Ministry of Economy, held by the Handelsblatt. Here, professionals are the focus, "which have an international career in sight, but not yet with immigration to Germany" have been concerned, it is also stated.

Personally, education would be a good idea in the Germany, but it will be difficult adopting to local cultures.

Germans are just too professional in attitude to be informal or relaxed. It is a good thing but when away from work, it looks very boring.

From a long time ago, Germany immigration Policy toward non-EU member virtually do not exist, it seems that they are intentionally make that way so no outset worker can work in Germany.

With the ban of recruitment to Oversea (Well, non-EU, as Greece are also oversea) worker (Unless seek authority approval) this alone kill a lot of people who intented to work in Germany, in all other EU country, most notible in the UK, you only need to seek work employment (Or not if you are commonwealth citizen) then you are almost gurantee a visa to work in the UK, but in Germany, even if the employer who are willing to give you an employment, he have to take it to the authority first.

The other dead spot for Foreign skill moving into Germany is their Citizenship law. It take 8 legal years to be a German.
People who intent to move to Germany would almost universally like to naturalise as German citizens (Then you can move around EU) but 8 years is not worth the wait compare to other EU Country i know of where the UK is 5 (1 for me as i am a Commonweal Citizens, i am an American born Australian) and Swedish 5. And then unlike Swedish and the UK, you have to give up your original Citizenship.

UNless there is a change to Germany Nationality Law, those factor wil lalways be a bump to potential talent

This is just not true. Dont trust those superficial news. Believe me, i have never seen a Neo-Nazi (At least not those who rly shows that to the surrounding) in west or in east Germany. But this doesnt makes it more save. Berlin and Hamburg are very dangerouse places regarding to other cities. There are critical places i would not go at night, for example weeks ago a vietnamese boy and his friend were beaten to death in the near of the Berlin Townhall...
There are some brainless young immigrants ranging at night and looking for conflics. Me and my connections had casually more or less bloody conflicts with them they destroy the picture of other Immigrants

10 Immigration Policy for Skill Migrant (Easiest to Hardest)

I have sorted out 10 country based on their skill migration policy from my knowledge, they may not be correct or truth by the time i type. I am a Citizens of 3 of the below (australia, america and Sweden) and their infomation should be accurate. However, if you found any error, feel free to remind me.

Side Note: (From non-resident to Premanent Resident, Citizenship will also indicated if known)

1.) Australia (Point System, Guaranteed Migration)

Australian Skill Migration Scheme is the easiest of all country you can imaging, it used to be you will guarantee a Permanent Resident Visa if you finish a Higher Education Degree in Australia (either a 2 year Trade Certificate or a 3 years Accountant Degree), you do not need job placement. The current scheme will take you 3 years and you DO NOT need Job Security( so you do not need to have job Offer) The passing mark (Guarantee mark) are 65. Base on ages, the field of study, your english ability, your level of education and job offer.

Citizenship can be obtained after 4 years stay in Asutralia, only 1 year are required after you obtained the Permanent Residence Visa, both Citizenship and English Test applied, dual Citizenship is allowed

2. New Zealand (Point Scheme, Guaranteed Migration)

New Zealand is also easy most likely because it have a tasman agreement with the Australian (If you are an Australian Citizens, you are automatically a New Zealand Permanent Resident and vice versa) the current scheme is 145 points with skill and age and job security have a bigger role in the point system than the australian scheme.

New Zealand Citizenship can be obtain after 5 years stay in NZ, Currently without Citizenship test but English test is require for one to grant New Zealand Citzienship

Dual Citzienship allowed

3. Canada (Point Scheme, Guaranteed Migration)

Canadian Skill Migration system are based on a Qualification based point system, passing mark is 67, the higher the education level you obtain, the higher the mark you gets. Ages and field of qualification are still considered but not as much as Level of qualification, the second thing the Canadian Migration system look at is you past working experience (Not job offer) the longer the experience you have the higher the point you get, only selective skill applied.

Canadian Citizenship require a 1095 day stay in Canada (3 years exactly) , every day stayed in Canada is 1 day for Permanent Resident and half for Temperory Resident while every day stayed outside Canada is half day for permanent resident(only for partnered country such as USA). Hence you can get Canadian Citizenship for 3 years stay in Canada (2 years as Temperory, 1 year as Permanent Resident)

Dual Citizenship allowed

4. United Kingdom (Point Test, Guaranteed Migration (accredited MBA only))

United Kingdom have a hard way and easier way to gain Permanent Resident (Locally Indefinitely leave to Remain) you can do it the hard way (Work 5 years in the UK) or have a British Accredited MBA qualification. The skill migration for the UK is also a point test, you require to get 100 points to pass, however, if you do not have a accredited MBA qualificaiton, basically you cannot get 100 points. If you do not have a MBA, the factor betwen age-qualificaiton-work experience in UK will come into play.

To gain United Kingdom Citizenship, one must be living in the UK with ILR stamp for 5 years. However, the period will shorten significantly if you have a passport from a commonwealth country then your require will be 4 years legal stay (ILR or not) and 1 year stay with ILR. It will become easier if you are British National (Oversea) - A passport only available to Hong Kong Resident born before 1997. Then once you got your ILR, you are a full British Citizen (BNO is a British Passport WITHOUT Right to stay)Dual Citizenship allowed


5.) Hong Kong (Point System, Semi-Guranteed Migration (Only for Non-Mainland Chinese Born)

Hong Kong have the funniest Skill Migration scheme, one word only for its scheme, Money. It's not hard to get a Skill Migration visa (Locally a 1 star ID card) but the money involved is very serious. One have to pay about 200,000 HKD (~30000 USD) to applied for and secure a visa, while you will be automatically qualified if you have the right field of skill and qualification. The money involve (Compare to ~2000 AUD in Australia, 3000 NZD for NZ, ~2000 CAD for canada and less than 1000 GBP in the UK) This visa should have been 2 or 3 easiest but because of the money issue, it became 5th.

For a HK Resident with 1 star in their ID card (also funny thing was there are no HK Citizenship, only Hong Kong Permaanent Residence, you do have a Hong Kong Passport) it will take you 7 years to get a 3 star (Permanent Resident) ID Card.

6. Singapore (E-Pass, Non-Guaranteed)

To gain Skill Migrant Status in Singapore, one must be a E-Pass holder (Employment Pass), what it is basically was once you got a E-Pass, find job in singapore, 6 payslip later you can apply for PTS. Finding a job iN Singapore is not quite easy and you required to be highly skilled. Generally, all skill are considered the same, (Only there is a different of skilled and non-skilled) but the higher the education level you got, the easier you can land a job in Singapore. Study in Singapore helps. After 5 years of PTS, you are on permanent visa, in between PTS you can change your job and the visa will not stop counting

For a PR in Singapore, you require to stay in Singapore for a period of 5 years and renounce your former Citizenship to gain Singaporean Citizenship.

7. United States (Visa based quota scheme, non-guarantee (Except highly skilled)

Basically there are 2 PR (or green card) visa for skill migrant, H1B (Internally EB1-4, EB-5 is business based visa) or L1 first one is a general skill visa provided for all company currently hiring foreign worker under visa H1B and L1 is a US Branch of a Oversea company currently managing. Both visa require potential applicant to have Worked in the US for a period of 6 years with H1B visa or 5 years with L1 Visa to qualify for a green card. However, not all applicant have to work in US to get green card, Highly Skilled (Such as PhD Researcher, Doctors, Nurse, Missionary and unique Skilled personnel) can apply for a job waiver and directly applied for Employment Based Visa. For L1A to work one must be a manager of a US office with foreign relation. If all else failed there are always Green card lotto one can apply.

The Citizenship requirment for the US is 5 years resident after green card. You do not need ot live exactly 5 years to the date you can absent from time to time (Maximum of 18 months absent are allowed)

Dual Citizenship allowed

8 Sweden

What Swedish skill migration program is different than the other is the PUK (Permanent Residence (Card)) in Sweden is opened for EVERYONE. basically there are no skill migration program, anyone who stayed and work in any job legally in Sweden for 5 years can apply for PUK, the definition of long term resident is either a work permit or a business permit. There are no work is off limit, that's what make it special. However, still you need 5 years work and change work in between is allowed and since there are not fast-land type (Unlike in the US, there are no concession if you are a Doctor or what) It is slightly harder than the US Scheme

Swedish Citizenship generally obtainable when you like in Sweden for 5 years under PUK status, Swedish Culture and Language test are required for the Citizenship application

9. Denmark

Denmark have a similar scheme as Sweden with only 1 twist. You have to be both Studied and Working in Denmark by the time you apply for Dansk Permanent Residence. Basically the same old trick the 5 years stay, but to be eligible you have to be either working in Denmark for 2 year and studied for 3 or vice versa to gain the Permanent Residence. Once again, no job is off limit, from doctor to au pair. The foreground is, you need to have a Danish Qualification for whatever you do in Denmark. Which bumped the money factor (Although Danish public education is free you still need board)

Danish Citizenship can be obtained after 7 years stay as a Permanent Resident. you do not need to renounce your original Citizenship.

10. France

It's the same throughtout the EU, work permit first and permanent residence permit later. France is no Exception. THe different between france and other nation is the work permit is harder to get and you have a longer stay permanent residence visa (10 years) For a person who would like to apply for a french working permit, that person have to apply for a long stay visa for employment and have the employment sort out the employment authority (Same old same old, advertise the job in national employment board and if no one interest, a permit will goes to non-EEA citizens) With the long stay visa only limited to 3 years (Afterward the person can apply for permanent residence) it's slightly better than the rest of Europe. Or you can serve in the French Foreign Legion for 5 years with good conduct, they will give you a French passport afterward.

Citizenship are available after 5 years stay (or 2 year if the person are frenchspeaking, ie French Canadian or Person who studied a higher education degree in French) Dual Citizenship are allowed.
