No. It was the Arabs who defeated them but it came with a great effort and not all of them were defeated some of them accepted by themselves. It was the Ummayyad and the Abbasid golden ages and they used more effort against them than Europe because they were simply a tougher front example Iberia peninsula fell in 7 years including South france to all the way to Switzerland in central Europe but the Turkics were tough and required alot of resources from the Ummayyids and Abbasid
