Actually these were the plan A for Pakistan. But subsequent developments saw germans withdrawing and Pakistan going the Chinese way.

I think now the primary weapon for both agosta's are harpoons. But what I suspect is that these harpoons are of dual use i.e. anti-ship as well as land attack,.

They are good infact exactly up to the mark where PN needs them. PN needs more submarines to reach the desired number they think is neccessary for proper defence.

Belive me,they can throw you any thingh and they will lose! Its a real sharck, ask tthe US navy carrier group sank during last exercce in gibralter! The only ones to catch them were portuguese p3c Orion. Cam train with US.
