PAF ki bombardment se tabahi aur drone se tabahi may zameen aur asmaan ka farq he....Air force strikes have actually caused more civilian deaths than drones.
Drones strikes are carried out with consent and approval of Pak army, america takes permission from pakistan for it. So why america is demonized only for drones by those who cry about civilian deaths...why not protests against pakistan governament and its army?
Agar PAF bombari kar rahi he tou agar drones pakistan k hawaley kiye jain tou unka istimaal tribals par zaror hoga.

I think the number of Bombing runs in FATA from 2008 has been exponentially more than total number of bombing runs against India . Correct me if i am wrong .

PAF is hitting the targets mostly, would say 99% of them in the hilly trains, targets which are mostly outside the collateral damage zone, meaning training camps, militants positions on the hills which may block army movement, places like that. And they are helped by the ground forces, they identify the target, PAF does its own surveillance and then air strikes happen. As for drones, they hit anything anywhere the US likes giving a damn about collateral damage.

And even if PAF/PA does get armed drones, which it does probably, they will be striking the targets of their own choice, which will most probably be TTP related targets, while US wants to hit the AQ & AfgTalib targets. So priorities are different. The only thing we both agree is hitting the AQ targets, we don't agree with them on the AfgTalib hits and they don't agree to our TTP hitting requests.

So, US will never hand over drones for this purpose to us, that is why we are going for our own tech.

If Armed Drone technology is given to Pakistan by US then Pakistan will try to reverse engineer it & make their own version of Armed Drones plus Pakistan will also allow Chinese to have a look at is, this is of the reason why US does not wants to give Armed Drones to Pakistan. The other reason is Pakistan will use these Armed Drones to kill all the rented terrorists US assets leaders, Commanders & etc.

I hope Pakistan gets armed drones because this will reduce the huge burden off our troops.

Pakistani jets are doing what the drones are doing but more effectively.

The problem with drones is that they are controlled by Americans and due to the lack of trust by them on ISI, they cannot be trusted with our civilians. Besides there drone strike track record isn't good, amounting to thousands of women and children killed including children schools.

Neither.

Jets are stationed at designated airbases and have to fly a specific sortie for a specific target for a limited time period, a sortie can last 2 hours or so. While a drone can be operated from any small prepared runway, and they can stay for a longer time period, thus reconnaissance can be performed for a longer period of time and if there is an opportunity, target can be hit.

A fighter jet costs more money for a single sortie compared to a sortie of a jet.

But with drones you can target small targets, while jets can provide you with the heavy load / bombs.


Both are useful in specific missions. Drones can loiter for a longer time period, less expensive to operate, can survey the target for longer time period and when opportunity arises, can strike.
