If Bangladesh can become independent in 1971 then why not Kashmir?

বাংলাদেশের বন্ধুরা আসেন আমরা বাংলাদেসগ ফোরামে বাংলায় কমেন্ট করি।

for anti Bangladesh indian dalal class, namely hindus and Awami League that is true. BUT for Bangladeshis Kashmir struggle symbolizes Bangladesh own struggle.

@idune, Sir, But you follow the Jamaat that does not recognize the BD freedom struggle as a part of its own agenda. How come you are suddenly becoming a champion of freedom? Even your Ustad/Guru Moududi was against the partition of India. You are supposed to stick to his theory. But, you want to separate Kashmir from India. It is ridiculous. But, please do not come up with your EXPOSING me.

Then you are nothing more than an Indian dalal coward ...
I will be a dalal if you can give a single possible way to beat Indian army by war! You jamatis never understand the real situation. That's why your leaders are dead now lol

How many times do I have to say I am not a Jamaati? One can be anti-Indian without being a Jamaati. One does not have to beat the Indian Army but making war costly for the Indians in incentive enough not to behave like their bitch. Where is the dignity in that?

Bangladesh got independence because its main leader of struggle SMR had shown exceptional leadership before the PA attack on our soil. Whoever proclaimed the independence he did so in the name Sk. Mujib. He was absent during the freedom fighting, yet the entire liberation war was fought in his name.

In case of Kashmir the political leader since 1947 was another Shaikh, the Shaikh Abdullah. After him his son became the CM. This family and all others whoever is in politics are a lackey of Delhi.

I can foresee a real independence struggle when the population figure at least doubles and a proper leadership is born out of this large population with his/their contribution, sacrifice and deeds. A small population cannot build up a mental and physical force that can resist a numerically superior IA troops. Today's 8 million people cannot be that formidable.

What about making Kashmir autonomous and giving both Indian and Pakistani citizenship to it's national?

Telling only NO to India for every tiny thing is meaningless. If the GoB listens to all your anti-India formula, it will bring only backlash from that stronger neighbor of ours. The Chinese idiom/proverb says, 'Kiss a hand that you cannot bite'.

You guys want us to trust in the Pakistani prowess, when Pakistan itself is surrounded by Indian dams on the rivers across the border practically making it dependent for Kashmiri water on India. The Farakka Barrage was also built when we were still east Pakistan.

Every country is for itself. China has a policy not to interfere in a war or side with one of the warring countries. Think of 1971, China gave lip service but did not make any physical presence near Himalayas.

It is still premature for us, a weak country, to become anti-India. India will not go for a direct aggression, but it will create problems in our border and will control BD decisions via its agents/friends in Dhaka. This is what is happening right now. The situation was finely created by that uneducated BKZ and his half-illiterate son Tareque by their short-sighted policies that made India worried about transit and others. So, kiss a hand that you cannot probably bite.

Not autonomous but a sovereign country by taking Kashmir parts from India China and Pakistan.

I am not sure why a Bangladeshi support Pakistan instead of India. If it is due to religion then your country UK is responsible for Muslim deaths, why don't you wage a jihad against UK and USA.

any one who comes asking for land on the basis of religion will get a danda that too a big one.-Govt of India.

The reason is Kashmir is a Sanskrit word not a arabic or urdu word, Kashmir is the abode of Shiva and mentioned in Hindu texts and has deep links with Dharmic religions.

Our holy places like Amaranth is in Kashmir and it is the home of the Pandits it is nothing to do with a alien Wahhabi ideology but the land of Sufis.

What do these fish eating Bengies in UK have to do with Kashmir anyway? they have nothing to do with the culture or the land but sticking their noses in

Bengies in UK are bottom of the pile in every social indicator they should worry more about their kids rather than sticking their noses into the affairs of others.

They even call their restaurants in brick lane Indian lol shameful

The Kashmir Conflict arose from the Partition of British India in 1947 into modern India and Pakistan. Both countries subsequently made claims to Kashmir, based on the history and religious affiliations of the Kashmiri people. Theprincely state of Jammu and Kashmir, which lies strategically in the north-west of the subcontinent bordering Afghanistan and China, was formerly ruled by Maharaja Hari Singh under the paramountcy of British India. In geographical and legal terms, the Maharaja could have joined either of the two new countries. Although urged by the Viceroy, Lord Mountbatten of Burma, to determine the future of his state before the transfer of power took place, Singh demurred. In October 1947, incursions by Pakistan took place leading to a war, as a result of which the state of Jammu and Kashmir remains divided between India and Pakistan.

The border and the Line of Control separating Indian and Pakistani Kashmir passes through some exceptionally difficult terrain. The world's highest battleground, the Siachen Glacier, is a part of this difficult-to-man boundary. Even with 200,000 military personnel, India maintains that it is infeasible to place enough men to guard all sections of the border throughout the various seasons of the year. Pakistan has indirectly acquiesced its role in failing to prevent "cross-border terrorism" when it agreed to curb such activities. After intense pressure from the Bush administration in mid-2002.

The Sufis and the Pandits still go to the same shrines in Kashmir, it is just a minority in the valley who have been Wahhabinied but Kashmir is not going anywhere.

Most of the intel that the army gets is from locals ;)
