PTDI Promotes N219 Aircraft in Abu Dhabi Through IDEX 2021

Bandung, January 20, 2021 – Public Relations of PTDI

PTDI will participate in the upcoming International Defence Exhibition (IDEX 2021) showcasing its flagship products and services to expand markets and increase sales, which runs between February 21-25, 2021, located at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.

PTDI exhibit in the Indonesian Pavilion Booth number 03-C31 featured products from across the company’s scope of business, including scale models of the basic airframe of CN235-220, CN235-220 Maritime Patrol Aircraft (MPA), NC212i and N219 which successfully obtained the Type Certificate (TC) issued by Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) under the control of the Ministry of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia on December 28, 2020.

The population of PTDI products in United Arab Emirates (UAE) is currently 7 units of CN235, which 6 units for Military Transport configuration and 1 other unit for VVIP configuration, operated by the UAE Air Force. There is enormous potential for replacing the existing aircraft with the same class as CN235 in the Middle East region, include 4 units of CN235 produced by PTDI which have entered the aging period (up to 30 years).

With the CN235 exists in UAE, there is also potential for PTDI to deal with spare part business, components repair, maintenance and provide engineering support to those aircraft, strengthened by the agreement between PTDI and Advance Military Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul Center, LLC. (AMMROC) in 2019, which can be used as an opportunity to increase customer support business in UAE and Middle East Region. Moreover, there is also the potential in replacing aircraft with the same class as NC212i operated in the Middle East region.

PTDI will also promote the N219 with the capacity of 19 passengers that already have met CASR Part 23 (Airworthiness Standards for Aeroplanes in the Normal, Utility, Acrobatic or Commuter Category), which later will be strived for massive marketing in order to get a procurement contract.

“IDEX 2021 is such a substantial event for the defence industry, CN235-220, NC212i and N219 are expected to receive special attention from any other countries, include the after sales services for those aircraft, especially in Asia and Africa as our priority markets,” said Elfien Goentoro, PTDI President Director.

The Director General of Pothan Kemhan (Major General TNI Dadang Hendrayudha) will lead the Indonesian delegation at the IDEX Abu Dhabi exhibition 2021 from 21 to February 25, 2021 at ADNEC, Abu Dhabi.

The defense industry participating in this exhibition is PT. DI, PT. Pindad, PT. PAL Indonesia, PT. Len Industri, PT. Ridho Agung Mitra Abadi, PT. Jala Berikat Nusantara Perkasa, PT. Faculty of Technology Innovation, PT. Fazza Royal Yantasir Simulation, PT. Persada Aman Sentosa, PT. IPCD, and PT. SSE.

Indonesia's participation in this exhibition is to introduce the products of the Indonesian Defense Industry to the world, increase networking and seek opportunities for cooperation with the foreign Defense Industry.

The Director General of Pothan Kemhan will visit several booths that are considered to have opportunities to collaborate with Indonesia, including MBDA, Rafale, Thales, SAFRAN, Naval Group, and Rostec. The Director General of Pothan Kemhan hopes to get a visit from government officials and the UAE armed forces, as well as visits from other foreign defense industries.

Exhibition activities abroad are one of the efforts to foster the defense industry so that in the future the Indonesian industry will have better technological capabilities, become an independent, advanced, and competitive industry.

Famed Humvee maker, AM General, will participate in the International Defence Exhibition & Conference (IDEX) show held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre February 21-25, 2021.

Leading light tactical vehicle manufacturer will display its new version of the legendary HMMWV tactical vehicle, known popularly as “Humvee on steroids“, fitted with MSI-DSL Terrahawk Remote Weapon Station (RWS) and Raytheon/Lockheed Martin Javelin missile.

Not only will visitors be the first to explore the vehicle, but they will also have the opportunity to learn about the company’s robust and diverse product offerings.


“We are enthusiastic to participate at IDEX and impressed at the level of coordination and support that the organizers have provided so that we can have a safe and successful show during these challenging times,” said Nguyen Trinh, AM General Executive Vice President of International Defense. “We are also extremely excited to debut the NXT 360 to our international customers as this the first opportunity for them to have a hands-on experience with this ground-breaking vehicle.”

The company will display the all-new HUMVEE NXT 360 ES – a rugged light tactical vehicle that is redefining survivability. Built with proprietary technology, this vehicle allows for 360-degree kinetic energy threat protection as well as blast threat protection. Currently offering two variants (Base and ES), the NXT 360 leverages the existing HUMVEE® platform and includes additional enhancements. The ES model will offer a 6.5L V8 turbocharged engine with 250 Hp and is equipped with a long travel suspension for increased agility no matter the terrain – all optimized for exceptional transportability via land, sea, and air.

AM General representatives will also be available to discuss the wide variety of mobility solutions the company offers, as well as provide in-depth information on its logistics services, award-winning global supply chain management, and field service support.

As to the MSI-DSL Terrahawk, it is the next generation of small caliber RWS. Its unique design can be configured to meet individual end-user requirements such as payload, sensors and motion limits, without compromising class leading accuracy and dispersion.

Fully stabilised, the TERRAHAWK RWS can be equipped with multiple sensor types for an all-weather, 24 hour capability. The onboard Fire Control System (FCS) offers full target tracking and ballistic compensation. Automated FCS cueing is available from other vehicle sensors including shot detection and laser warning receivers where equipped.
