yes papaya and banana need tropical sub tropical weather issue with punjab is frost that kills papaya and papaya does best in karachi because karachi kar sandy soil with low water retention and papaya doesnt like standing water it dies instantly because of root rot! banana doesnt do well in khi because of soil banana require lots of water so soil with good water retention is required.

what crops (profitable) do you recommend for fertile land with plenty of water available? i want my people to move away from wheat, rice and sugarcane now.

This radahri village I have been there my self many of local there are my friends. They are not making boundaries but cultivating whole crop of sufaida tree and they harvest in every four years. They earn millions per Acer.

From where would water come from for sufaida in dessert as they need a lot of water
If they are in crops nothing grows around them as all the water goes to them

i buy silage regularly from punjab

What you do with silage are you a dairy Farmer in Karachi

Most of straw is used for feeding cattle mixed with green fodder

Here in Jhang per acre price is from 1 to 2 million price depends on location if it is near some road than price would be higher
