'ICC has no problem with Pakistan cricket team offering namaz on ground but MS Dhoni...'

But they will have to stop others now that a precedent has been set. ICC must stop the West Indies fast bowler Sheldon Cottrell from celebrating a wicket by making an Army salute, and they must also take action against players trying to convert others on the cricket field, even if it means taking retrospective action.
icc is responsible for international cricket not for someone's personal life . :) .

yeah anything unrelated to cricket should be ban on ground while match . otherwise you cant stop anyone from printing this on shirt.

You are mistaken, a cricketer's personal and professional life is both under the ambit of regulations, there are plenty of examples when ICC has intruded into the personal life of cricketers.

On this count you are right. What else would stop us from donning a jersey with this picture proudly stamped on our chests.

Did TarekFatah read the ICC directive at all before proliferating his cancerous fake journalism? It pertains to clothing. No religious or political message can be delivered by way of clothing/kit worn. If anything, Indian and British Sikhs wearing turbans raises a question mark here. Pakistanis team offering namaz does not fall under the jurisdiction of this rule. Well done Fatah for coming across as yet another screaming saffron-clad banshee. Pakistan should sit back and let the Hindutva self-defeating PR brigade march on.

The guy is just a rabble rouser seeking attention. He reminds me of a Pak version of Arundhati Roy.

From a legal perspective - all religious and political displays are not allowed. That includes Sikh turbans and kadas, Hindu religious threads and Muslim beards and any other displays of religion, Christians wearing crosses etc.

ICC in its infinite stupidity has opened a Pandora's box and now will have to implement the letter of the law, else will be accused of selective implementation.
Beard is not clothing or equipment. Try again.

Well as far as I know ICC ban the Pakistani players not to offer the Namaz again. First time prayers was done with out ICC knowledge. Same way- MS Dhoni wore the gloves as ICC did not know that time. So asked him to remove in next Match.

nahh that not personal life but diet . do you want icc to ask indian players to stop worshipping idols made of stones?

If Dhoni wears the same gloves then we should wear Pakistan airforce patches that demonstrates mig and sukhois kills.

If you have ever played a sport in professional capacity you would know that every gram of eatables and such are strictly monitored, it becomes a part and parcel of a sportsman's life. In that aspect, sports and armed forces are pretty much same, that dedication and discipline is inculcated in them.

I am all for serious sports(not only cricket) discussion, but find a few takers on PDF. Just take a look into the Ind vs Aus thread, and how people pollute them with petty jingoism.

The @ICC has no problem with the entire Pakistan cricket team marking territory by praying on the cricket field, denigrating Christians and Jews (part of Muslim ritual prayer) but find insignia on @MSDhoni's gloves inappropriate. pic.twitter.com/8wwZYtnti2

Tareek Fateh, his name sound Muslim. Now if this tw@t knows his prayers, as we call "salah", would this filth of a man point to which portion of Salah, we, the muslims, denigrate Christians and Jews? In fact, we end our prayers by honouring the forefathers of the Bani Israel, the Ibraheem (AS) and his progeny.

i am all in for a serious sports too . jingoism is when you start show off and expects others to wont react . one of our player HAssan Ali was an actual naval cadet . should he put the logo of PN on his halmet?

Yes, but faith sometimes gets the better of the sportspersons, such tendencies must be dissociated and discouraged.
go ahead try it in india then see .

one of our player HAssan Ali
He is a talented pace bowler, love the lengths he bowls at, watched his exploits in the Wagah border too, he mustn't get carried away, has a long future ahead. But he's been falling off the radar a bit lately.
