IAF wants 100 armed Avenger stealth from US

http://www.newsweek.com/china-deadliest-drone-compare-us-cheaper-easier-use-638516

The drone, capable of conducting both combat and reconnaissance missions, can reportedly stay in the air for up to 60 hours and be modified to fly for up to 120 hours, covering over 6,200 miles and carrying 16 air-to-surface missiles, feats that CH-5 designer Shi Weng said left the U.S.-made General Atomics MQ-9 Reaper "in the dust," according to United Press International. The CH-5 was first developed in 2015, and the mass-production model intended for sale overseas made its debut flight Friday.

Damn, we could have milked the holy cow too if we were neutral. Sell it at 6bil$, it's a good deal for India.

Ofcurs its ignored, you cant expect class 1 instruments like F-22, Predator Avenger drones, B-2's , Sea guardians to be produced in india. Its a critical technology exclusive only to US.

At the most we can get to produce F-16's or F-35 in future.
F22,B2? Don't be naive.:o:

Why India is not making armed/armored drones indigenously, India is ahead in many fields...

Few words about Pakistan made drones...

The NESCOM Burraq (Urdu: بُراق‎) is an unmanned combat aerial vehicle (UCAV) developed and built by the National Engineering and Scientific Commission (NESCOM), a civil scientific research and development organization of Pakistan, along with the Pakistan Air Force (PAF).[1]

Primarily used by the PAF, it has also been used by the Pakistan Army (PA) in its counter-insurgency operations in north-west Pakistan. The Burraq carries various imagery and motion sensors, and is equipped with a laser guidedair-to-surface missile named "Barq".[2]

Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the public relations department of the Pakistan Armed Forces, described the system as a "force multiplier."[3] After a successful demonstration of its ability to fire missiles at both stationary and moving targets, Pakistan became the fifth country in the World to successfully develop an unmanned combat aerial vehicle.[4]

Indian Media report about Pak made drones...

The US has confirmed that the critical Category One UAV technology from US-based General Atomics has been released, acceding to India’s strong request. Also, the Indian Air Force has requested for 100 units of Predator C Avenger aircraft worth $8 bn
the whole defence budget of Pakistan for this year is $8.7 bn

First you buy, then manufacture them, then build your own based on experience gained.

India should gain the expertise from these deals, US agreed to share Technologies.

USA perhaps most shameful country on earth

14.3% of people in USA is in poverty.

And nobody wastes 600 billion of gdp/debt a year on military spending

If we are what you claim we are, then what does make you, Chinese? If we applied the same level for poverty as a benchmark to you, Mr. Chinese, 90% of your people would be designated as "poor?

Pakistan Exporting UAVs to America

December 24, 2008

By Noah Shachtman

America's killer drones are getting all the attention, in the fight against Pakistani militants. But Pakistan's military has plenty of unmanned aerial vehicles, or UAVs, too. And they're being used to spy on suspected insurgents, and listen in on their phone calls.

Since 2002, Pakistan has dramatically expanded its robotic fleet in the sky, Defense News reports. The Pakistani Air Force has two UAV squadrons -- and is looking to build up to six.

"Al-Qaida and Taliban fighters use not just mobile and satellite phones for communication, but also sophisticated military radios," Defense News notes. So companies like East West Infiniti are building SIGINT [signals intelligence] for small drones and robotic blimps, to capture those conversations. Designed for militaries unable to afford high-end, dedicated SIGINT platforms, East West's Whisper Watch system can detect and monitor electronic emissions up to 250 kilometers away and then retransmit to a ground station located out of harms way.

Karachi-based Integrated Dynamics actually exports its Border Eagle surveillance drone to the United States for border patrol duties. The company also makes drones the turbojet-powered Tornado decoy, which can fly up to 200 kilometers, and emit false radar signals to "confuse enemy air defenses into thinking they are attacking aircraft," Defense News says.

Note: Pakistani UAV gear were on display in November, at IDEAS, Pakistan's big military trade show.

Exporting UAVs to us? Forget the fact you just made up that title but really, you think we need anything from you?

Once again, you think the world's singular superpower and military industrial complex needs a poor quality Chinese technology? Please stick to India bitchin...

We are making this, presently...

Well i won't say useless its been proven against pak
Well actually prefer if we buy more rafaels with the 8 b usd.
These drones are only useful in poorly or undefended areas, while pakistan airspace is well defended.
Where do we plan to use the armed drones ?

Pakistan airspace is well defended that's why using Heron for strike is a bad idea but Avenger has been proven again & again and Pak don't have that kind of tech to detect them. So basically what i'm saying GoI has intend to use them for cross-border raids against Terrorist camps/infrastructures in P O K.
