In air shows Air to Ground looks awesome compare to not so appealing Air-to-air. Better keep it for air exercises/ war games to check effectiveness.

A2A on Tejas has been tested, first with R-73 and later integration with Derby.
But where and how will they demonstrate A2A at the Air-Show?

Not yet qualified. It has only fired R73 WVR missile, no BVR.

It would be a huge confidence building measure if they demonstrate R73 firing towards a parachute deployed thermal source similar to what sukhoi MKI does in the video below.

No, you are less informed here... The journalist is wrong here. SARANG is Dhruv Acrobat team.. Peocock is painted over it , so it is called SARANG (Peacock).

Its not weaponized version. Its totaly used for air-show. I think it in second helo-show team in world...
