Even if it is not. It changed its course. Why? Maybe a technical glitch. ATC repeatedly tried to establish contact, it didnt respond after which jets were scrambled. Aircraft didnt even respond to Jets at first and did only after got warning of getting shot down.
That sounds normal to u?

I am shocked that our fellow members here in their hatred towards India are saying its baseless and desperate.
An unscheduled aircraft enters ur airspace from a point it shouldnt have been anywhere near to, doesnt respond on radio.
Fighter jets approach it, try to establish radio contact and yet aircraft doesnt respont until gets warning of getting shot down.
All this sound normal to u? Even if it were a passenger aircraft, such conduct would have rung alarm bells everywhere.

Mate as I suggested, IAF should have shot down such an unwarranted intruder especially coming from Pakistan.
I remember IAF has shot down a balloon from Pakistan an A2A missile after the naughty balloon dodged all the fired from the legendary Su30 MKI in the hands of gabrus. The balloon had a happy birthday message on it.
Why IAF failed this time? and rather played an escort for such potent threat? It could be a PAF military airplane loaded with munition.

So India let an socalled 'unschedulled' flight enter its airspace thru Gujarat and let it fly all the way into Rajhastan before 'forcing' it to land? If true, it's mockery of their security.

That's not how a superpower behaves. IAF should have shot it down mid air like PAF did with one Mig 21 Bison and one Su30 MKI (Mini Awacs). But here Su30 were playing escort for this AN-12 coming from Pakistan. Well, escorting is nothing new..50% of GDP of the superpower is generated by escorts.

It doesn't work like that. Even for an unschedulled international flight a pre approved flightplan is required prior to departure. An auto telex message is sent to all the ground stations (ATC) mentioned on the flightplan including the transit points in various countries enroute to the final destination. Once the flight reaches a certain ground station according to the flight plan, the transponder sends a message to the ATC confirming its speed, altitude, payload, aircraft type and registration and final destination with ETA. It's called a MVT telex (movement).
Since the Pak airspace is closed for India, all flights are being rerouted over the Arabian Sea and entering India via Gujarat. Indian ATC must have had numerious MVT messages originationg from the flights transponder and must have expected and approved the entry long before it reached Jaipur.
