That is what I have been saying - Russia can sell all to Pakistan as long as Pakistan can afford it. It is a free market and we are not in exclusive defense relationship with Russia.

PLAAF capex in Tibet is worrying indeed.

GPS is alternative is a great development for Indian self-sufficiency.

Tejas 120 is order is again a booster shot to our indigenous MIC.

Last nail in the coffin for FGFA

Rafale lobbying continues. Let us see what shape it takes. Make in India will be a significant factor in follow on orders

I agree.... he merely responding on Mi 35...

15 years plan for AMCA. So India will have a prototype in fifteen years... Congrats to India.

IAF chief Raha confirms the three services HAVE set up SPACE, CYBER and SPECIAL OPS agencies already, pending format approval.
Very bizarre, what is the MoD playing at? Why, if these commands are ready to go, are they holding back on formal approvals?

IAF Chief Raha: Atleast 15 years before MiG29, Jaguars & Mirages retire. Enough time for us to plan indigenous replacement.
Fits with the AMCA's timeline nicely.

IAF Chief Raha: While we are getting 36 RAFALE jets from France but the requirement is for six more squadrons atleast.
6 SQNs= 108 Rafales + 36 from France= 144 Rafales (at least).

Ready to induct 120 LCA Mk1 on 2 conditions: higher production rate & proof/demo of radar/missiles/IFR: IAF chief Arup Raha
So basically attain FOC (improved radar performance from the Quartz radome and successful IFR probe integration) work on both is going on as we speak and should be certified within a few months.

IAF Chief Raha : IAF stands by its order for 120 Tejas fighters. We'll induct as it is & upgrade later. Production behind schedule

Concurrent development/upgrades then. First 40 will come at Mk.1 standard thereafter AESA and other improvements will come and the Mk.1A will become the production standard and so on.

15 years plan for AMCA. So India will have a prototype in fifteen years... Congrats to India.

Not at all what he has said. First AMCA prototype should appear by 2021/2 for induction by 2027/8 to replace the Jaguar DARIN IIIs, Mirage 2000-5 Mk.2s and MiG-29UPGs.

So we are getting 7-8 squadrons of rafale. Ab kaha gain jst 36 ko maan ne wale??? The mother of all deals remains the mother of all deals.:D

AMCA prototype will come quicker but induction time line is 15 years.

What about UAV's and Stealth UAV bomber ??

To my understanding, By 2022
40 mk1 + 80 mk1P = 120.
Looks to be the case (Mk.1A/P whatever you want to call it). The original 40 Mk.1s will subsequently be upgraded to this standard once it is the production standard (this is referred to as concurrency in military system development).
