'IAF becoming a strategic aerospace power'

Kolkata, Sep 16 (IANS) The Indian Air Force is on a trajectory of modernisation and is transforming into a strategic aerospace power with full spectrum capability, a senior officer said on Friday.

Eastern Air Command chief, Air Marshal C Hari Kumar made the observation during a two-day visit to the Kalaikunda Air Force station that began on Thursday.

Addressing station personnel, he urged them to display exemplary dedication in pursuit of excellence. During the visit, he also reviewed various measures being undertaken by the station towards operational capability enhancement, a defence ministry spokesman said.

As the price quoted, if the price of F-18 E/F Super Hornets are really 65 million a pop, then we should seriously give it a consideration and consider early retirement of Jaguars, or donate it to friendly nations.

since they are multidisciplinary galactic force they will choose whatever is nearest... .. tank.. any aircraft...shaktiman truck... the rule is whoever is nearest rides the damn thing... everybody is trained in everything so no problem...
