Actually that is what we have been engaged in doing for the last 2 decades i.e disguise our nuke launch sites and delivery mechanisms and build up a significant second strike capability, and with induction of Arihant and leasing of other Russian SSBN's we are well towards building one. Do remember the land size and number of strategic targets of Pakistan in comparison to India will you ?
In the event of a nuke war , count on our response to be sufficient to destroy our adversary as a functioning nation....

PAK have 90+ nukes from different sources. n If Pak use atleast 10 out of these 90+ they will do the job.

They will be hit on Indian miltary and Nuke sources just to prevent retliation. N that will if happen will surely be done less then 15 mins.

One of the effects was the increase of deployment time , in response to Corkey Fornof's criticism of this the IAF pointed out that FOD ( foreign object damage ) was a significant concern as damaged engines would have to be sent back to Russia , thereby increased deployment time was only a precautionary measure, to prevent the entire red flag participating fleet be grounded prematurely.......you can sure as hell be confident such a situation will never happen in bases in Indian western sector...the one's almost kept on a red alert for Pakistan

FoD is not only faced by India, its a problem of all the airforces around the world, I would accept your argument if you would have said that the response time of Russian engines was the problem but not certainly the FoD

you can see that they both were turboprop/civilian aircrafts not the jet airliners. furthermore, it still remains vague to as what is the cut off time of IAF to negate the claim of Financial Times.

2) Now as far as AWAC's are concerned since 2004 indian frontline Sukhois have pictured AWAC destruction in their doctrines , the Novator missile had been equipped to the MKI 's in the first upgrade , because the IAF anticipated Pakistan procuring Saab's after the Phalcon was obtained.The israeli EW suites on MKI's , Mig 29-which are still in an upgrade process by Russia to SMT standards ( having capabilities close to Mig 35 in avionics,Ew etc)

dont expect the AWACs to be lone hoverers so one can expect considerable escorts with them, They still outrange MKIs with range of 450 KMs so as soon as a threat is indentified heading their way. the escorts will be launched towards the threat instead of ground based interceptors so there will be no delays in preparing and taking off. the escorts will not only engage but try to get the cowbory from ground scrambles as well so its is not that easy for both sides to take out AWACS platforms. not certainly easy by the way you thought it would be.
