It looked to me like he was being quite careful to point out that his policies are primarily for the benefit of Pakistan but that that will also benefit India and India-Pakistan relations. Despite the interviewer constantly trying to shift the conversation to India.
Indians can not vote in Pakistan and most Pakistanis HATE india. This interview is not going to benefit his campaign. This will push back the nationalists who were supporting him.
Indian politicians are nationalists. Before your elections, they make all hate speeches against Pakistan and gather thousands of spporters in minutes. Pakistani politicians are just looking for fame, attention, money, and power. They don't give a sh!t what happens to Pakistan.

Thats because the news channel is Indian, and the audience is Indian?
He's not stupid enough to not know that Pakistanis can have access to indian news channels through the internet. Why impress indians? This will only push back the Pakistani nationalists who are supporting him.
