2 are planned. 1 is operational , and the 2nd one will be launched soon.
F-35s are only going to add more teeth to Japanese navy.
wrong.the reason is J-15's weight.its way too heavy to launch using Ski Jump.India launched much smaller Mig-29K from Viky with full load, using Ski Jump.you're comparing Queen Elizabeth??its going to use F-35B,a VTOL/STOVL aircraft.don't know about Hyuga, but it is speculated that Izumo is going to carry same aircraft, while J-15 will have to wai for a Catobar Carrier.

what about Force Projection Capability????
The same. J-15 weight is fine according to its role, the problem is J-15 is intended for a/c using CATOBAR.
You can compare J-15's TWR is not worse than that of Mig-29.
F-35B STOVL performance is more limited compared to F-35C designed to be launched using CATOBAR.
F-35B STOVL fit to LHD, with limited mission.
J-15 launched from Liaoning will be at disadvantage againts F-18 launched from Nimitz, but still very potent againts any helicopter from LHD.
You said it is not a matter of "if", but now you said it is a speculation?
Who is the analysts? BoQ77?
In addition to the larger capacity, the flight of JDS Izumo deck has 5 helicopter landing spots enabling simultaneous landings or take-offs. On deployments JS Izumo will carry a typical complement of 14 helicopters, seven ASW helicopters and two SAR helicopters. In addition, the ship will be able to transport 500-600 marines, 50 trucks and supplies, and tanks as well.
Some analysts have speculated the Izumo will be adapted to carry F-35B (STOVL) and V-22 Osprey tilt-rotor aircraft.
Once commissioned, these Izumo-class vessels will more than double the current anti-submarine, anti-ship, and amphibious assault capabilities of the Chinese Navy, over the current force consisting of two helicopter carriers, operating the Shirane-class helicopter carrying destroyers, accommodating 9-10 helicopters.
I was asking about sealift capability of JMSDF,like LSTs,LSDs etc, which can transport Tanks,Equipments and Soldiers to distant shores.I'm asking for this for the obvious reason.
point 1...J-15's TWR may be fine.but according to China's own sources,J-15 can be launched with full internal fuel if they carry only 2 Short Ranged AAMs,while MIG-29K launched from Viky can fly with full internal fuel along with full weapons load.I'm not saying J-15 is bad,but their capability is very limited for now.plus,PLAN didn't induct to use J-15 against helos, but against Enemy Jet Fighters.
About F-35B,it can be launched with Full Fuel load along with 7000 kg of weapons, not bad at all, though inferior to F-35C,which carry some 9500 kg of weapons.but they're designed to operate that way,J-15 is not.
Trolling,eh???
Japan’s new DM was inquiring about F-35Bs a couple of months ago during a visit to the U.S. Could the JMSDF be considering putting the STOVL F-35 on-board this magnificent ship? It has been speculated. Given China’s fast-pace carrier ship-building program, odds are that Japan will decide to do exactly that. Match China’s carrier power-projection capabilities. If not they could lose control of their vital sea lanes.
