So what is this Chechnya leader talking about? Does he really believe Putin will back the Rohingya muslims over the mostly Buddhist Burmese government who has enjoyed very friendly military ties with Russia for decades now?

The Russian government/Putin is not an ideological regime like some islamic states, in this regard Putin will never forgo Russia's national interests because of some emotional Rohingya "Human rights" issue. Only a fool will think otherwise.
So this kadirov guy better toe Putin's line or he might be replaced I suppose.

"Human rights". What a useful term western governments use to justify their national and special interests. Complete and utter bullshit.

Russia will continue their arms deals with Myanmar. They couldn't care less.

But it's a beautiful thing to see the Chechen people take a stand on this issue.

Perhaps the people of Bangladesh should hold demonstrations and do the same thing.

These Muslim militias are involved in fighting even in Syria and Ukraine

Interesting, that's a very complex situation we have there.
From what I have heard this Kadirov guy doesn't tolerate any dissent and his militias/SOF often disappear anybody who poses a threat to his regime.

You are right though, I at least know chechnyans are vicious fighters. They inflicted heavy casualties (thousands ) on Russian forces during their 10 year war for independence against Russia , which ended in a ceasefire and negotiation. Reason I guess Russia had to settle for a ransom-like situation of bribing them to quash anymore attempt for independence/instability.

Never before Russian citizens came out openly in support of rohingya.
Its not only Russian citizen but their most reliable allies are like kazak and Iran also want Russia to support rihingya. MM has no strategic value for Russia.

Good arrangement. However, I don't think Putin/Russia will be happy with the bold part. Since this can one day lead to more trouble for Russia(demand for more autonomy/self rule/independence). I'm sure Russia must be keeping a good eye on this and taking necessary measures to deal with this .
