Did I say they were? There is no typical look for Vietnamese.

To be honest, anything mixed with Chinese tends to look good. To be honest.

Even one famous Japanese actor Takeshi Kaneshiro (Japanese father, Han mother from Taiwan) is hybrid of Japanese and Chinese. He looks good, too:

Xi Jinping also got small eyes, but he got a round face, so his phenotype is rather more Northwest Han than Korean.

Xi Jinping looks more like Mongol to me than Han, to be honest.

The current Xi Jinping does look like Kublai Khan for some odd reason, but his early ancestor was from South China.

But during his youth, his phenotype looked quite Han, which can be found in both North China and South China.

A random HK guy from a Chinese dating show, and this guy can pass as Xi Jinping's son.

So I think Xi Jinping's phenotype also belongs to the Han Chinese phenotype.

Not true, Vietnamese natives are not Austronesian. Stop spreading false information. Vietnamese natives were Southern Mongoloid. Even the government website says it. I do not know where you get the information Vietnamese is Austronesian? You mean speakers?

his culture attained a degree of development higher than that of others at that time in the region and had its own characteristics but still bore the features of Southeast Asian culture because of the common South Asian racial root (Southern Mongoloid) and the water rice culture.
Evolution | Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in the United States

The Tai, Viet, Muong...etc. were among natives of Southern China.

In genarally, I agree with you, our race is the southerner mongolid race. So why in our history book, Dai Viet Su Ky, its said that northerner point of Van Lang Kingdom is reached to Dongding lake in Hunan Province in China when Han Chinese was still living in middle terrain in north China.

What I said is related to our language. Vietic is part of Autroasiatic language. In China, is existed the Pai Pu ethnic people who is spoken Autroasiatic language too. Pai Pu people could be our relative. So, Vietnamese moved from Africa first to Indochina Pennisula, then further up to south China before turned back to Red river delta.

bro, pls don´talk nonsense. the Viet people as such didn´t exist when the continents were formed, the first nations established, the ancient people identified themselves as unique groups, with own identity. you should know at least human migrations, waves after waves, occured over ten thousands of years, and so the diversity of genetics and forming of different ethnics. so claiming we directly and indirectly came from Africa is a more than nonsense. otherwise, Adam and Eva were our fore-fore-fore...parents, according to Genesis (the Bible).

and pls stop claiming the Viet are mon-khmer people. Don´t fall into the trap of some idiot trollers!

Yes, many Thai people look very similar to the ethnic minorities in Yunnan, since their ancestor originated from there.
that explains why imperial China was actively supporting the establising and the rise of the kingdom of Siam, posing a serious security threat to Vietnam in the 17-18 century, with the resulting: a war between Vietnam and Siam became unavoidable.

China always considered Siam as its little brother, since Vietnam was always rebellious against us.

But at the same time, you did worship our culture.

I was trying to point out the difference between the Sinic phenotype and the Vietic phenotype, while @VALKRYIE just posted a bunch of Sinic looking Viet girls. And I guess that @Yorozuya must get really pissed about the Sinophilia of your guys.

Those who live in Viet boundary is Vietnamese regardless of their looks. Viet are varies to the look, not hemo as Chinese.

I think it is Viet who mate with Chinese most till the point you acquire our surname and looks.

Anthropologist claim that Vietnam is Austronesian. The Mongoloidization process took place when you get conquered by China.Below is how you guys look like.

Ultimately the Mongoloid win in the evolution.

Nice. Tatas!

Very similar, i suppose, to how we Japanese prefer warm baths outside. Especially in natural warm water springs. I suppose this is some kind of cultural similarity I find common between Japanese and some ethnic groups of Southern China. But what I understand is that while we Japanese maintain our very fair complexion -- it is understandable because the weather in Japan is very cold , and exposure to sun in jungle-like temperature is very uncommon. But its interesting to see that there are some Vietnamese who can maintain their fair skin tone and not get dark even despite being exposed to the heat and glare of the sun over there in more temperate locations.

Anyways,

Here is some Japanese pictures of folks enjoying the bath outside:

What Japanese AV was this?

ahahahaha....impressed to see small Vietnam was the one who even put its puppet Hun sen in power. I never knew that, i just knew Vietnam invaded Cambodia and Laos and threatened/made incursions into Thailand back then. Didn't know it was Vietnam who put the current Cambodian president in power. That means this Hun sen dictator guy has been in power now for over 2 decades?. :o:

Impressive for such a small country to be exerting such influence in its neighbourhood. Seems Vietnam is playing big power games that's above even its status/weight. I'm impressed:)

Hun Sen stays in power because Hanoi likes him.

What?!!

It's the one where I beat you up, bad, real bad. Now quiet!!

I can see that. Hmmmm....surprised i didnt know more about this all this while. Seems i need to refresh my knowldge history of IndoChina once again. This is Interesting, Vietnam seems to be punching above its weight. I'm really impressed by their ability to influence their neighbours and draw them around their sphere of influence, even while facing their giant neighbour to the north.

Can only imagine how big their influence could have been if they had the capabiltiies of say Japan?:o: Even the west would probably have to watch its back i guess. :smoking:
