The increasing population of the human race makes it difficult for our nature to restore the harm.
Humans consume more and more of the worlds resources. Soon (if not already) will we reach a point were humans consume more than what they produce, or give back to our world.

What kind of crazy radical thinking is this? So because of this, you see the human race as target? Humans consume more than what they produce? Look at Africa.. the most richest continent on earth but people are starving. Thanks to who? Yes, you need to aim on these people. The capitalist system causing for so many trouble on this planet.

Maybe theyare preparing what you say who knows? Look at huge factory's.. 90% are machines and 10% human workers. And what about the other people that are jobless?

Back when the world's population was about 4 bil., I read that if everyone is given a 10x10ft room, the whole world's population would fit inside the Grand Canyon. That is how much land we have on Earth compared to the human population. True, not all land is capable of producing food, but then a lot of land that was once thought to be worthless turned out to be worthwhile producers of food and livestock if properly developed and managed.

You forget that when world population was less, the technological development wasn't like it is today. Therefore if have this technology with less people. The problems that happened back then wont happen.

Ever since I have heard scientists are working on drugs that can make humans live for incredibly long periods I have wondered how this would be sustainable as, once mastered, the human race would explode in numbers and the planet struggles with the current figures. However I suspect that market forces would dictate only the very wealthiest humans ever got a shot at "immortality" and the rest would be left to rot. The movie "In Time" illustrates this quite well. Whilst it is true that since the course of human history there have been "cullings" in the sense of deisease and natural disater every few hundred years that kept humaity few in number now we have begun to master our enviroment we have been spared any major calamity like this and it is long since due. It can be argued these are needed to keep human beings in smaller numbers so as to be suistanable and for the race to grow similar to how a forest fire is actually an increidlby constrictive porcess and part of the natural cycle forests go through. It is of course would be a horrific process and none of us would want to inflict this on anyone and if we were given an "immortality" pill tommorow I think most of us wouldn't hesite to swallow in in a hearbeat- "eff the human race- I wanna live!" Right?

By consume i mean, felling trees to get more place, killing whales to make cleaning material for humans. Fishing is on its highest level.
