It's bloody obvious who Pakistan should align itself with. When US sided with India against China, Pakistan should know whose side it should be on. Yet we keep seeing these pointless entreaties to US about India, Kashmir, F-16s, or whatever.

Maybe that is the very reason Pakistan should keep its “alliances” vague - keep a foot in one basket , one outside and a hand on the other.
Granted this diplomatic twister isn’t going to be an easy game with multiple contortions that are already close to breaking the back.. but it’s the most logical.

Your "Friends" do not ask you to let go of you territory. This isnt how friendship works. Pakistan sided with US in cold war era, even due to Pakistan's efforts US and China had back channel talks however when the time for US to act came they stepped back.
And you are asking me if Pakistan sided with US in vietnam war back in 1955 when we didnt have such relations. However in soviet afghan wa pakistan was with US.


We have relations with US however they don't see us in any strategic role in the world stage. Turkey and China on the other hand align with us on our ambitions (Whatever they maybe).

There is no territorial integrity with respect to East Pakistan after you disregarded the political solution

We did cut a deal with soviets. Soviet representative even came to Kabul to ask Afghans to accept the Durand line. The only people who didn't listen to Soviets were Afghans.

As far as negotiating with the Soviets we are not talking about 1988. We are talking about 1979.
