How to become a SSG? Information

I concur. Most of the stuff done in the special forces is boring in many ways and extremely tiring. You really need to have determination to last through it. More than physical, its the mental toughness that is constantly being pushed to its limits during the selection and after selection.

The first CO of the SSG, later Maj Gen Abu Bakr Usman Mitha (HJ) said that he was looking for "highly motivated cowards".. Meaning that he was not looking for gung-ho, in your face type of people, rather intelligent, smart operators who were very motivated to get the job done and come out alive.

I think you guys might be stereotyping the word 'adrenaline junky' a little too much, but thats probably my fault. I hope you guys are seeing some of my point of it too, in order to be at your best there you require a love for this kind of stuff that is way beyond the norm. Adrenaline junky might not be the best word for that, but it was the best I could think of. Like I said not everyone joins the SSG, so what is required must be a little more than just 'physical and mental' toughness. But thats just my view....so cool!

Hmm yeah, but then you can motivate anyone with the proper resources...what I meant was something you're kinda born with....Not everyone is meant to be a soldier, and even less are meant to be commandos.

SSG training is very hard one of my in SSG told me that 500 hundred men start SSG training and the end more then 30 men remainig.
Basic training period of SSG is six month.

Training period is 9 months for the Officer and 6 months for Jawans.

ssg ! Name is very eazi but job is very dificult. Can u imagine abou 3 hours rest after 44 contineous hours of hard training?
