Wrong. What does US manufacture? US is a consumer nation at best. Get in touch with reality? Blind Patriotism is a disease.
OMG!
From where do you think all those airplanes operated by airlines come from? Or those aircraft engines? Software and IT? Apple? IBM? HP? F-16sssssssss!!!???
Yes, true that it's industries aren't as great as the old days.
Profit-driven corporations outsourced their production operations to countries like China, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Philippines etc. But you have to realize that the US economy is extremely advanced. It is not longer a production based economy like China, or smaller third world countries.
Of-course, things like Coca-Cola must be produced in local areas (no one would buy a $40 can of Cola )
The USA evolved into a knowledge-based economy. For the US to be sustainable, it has to continually lead innovations in every field out there. This similarly applies to other advanced economies.
Although, I believe the American manufacturing sector could have done better in the consumer markets. They should work on this more.
The article posted is literally BS. The USA will become a third world country, good one
