Anyone coming from the US should be interrogated and detained at the airport for at least couple of hours.They will then understand the meaning of discrimination.

And then that will show the world how shallow we are. So what image would we be showing the world if we discriminate against Americans and Europeans? That we are willing to stoop to their level? Then that would be actually justifying their discrimination towards us.

Also if you watched the video you would see how passionately some people defended the Muslim lady? Do you want to discriminate against people like that?

Discrimination is not fought with discrimination but by being the bigger person. If you want an example, look at Nelson Mandela. After the fall of the apartheid, he urged the victorious Black South Africans to forgive the Whites, and reminded them to remember the whites who stood with the anti-apartheid, not the discriminators. And many of those pro-apartheid whites changed their ways, and felt ashamed of their inaction against the cruel apartheid regime.

Also, together, the Whites and blacks are moving South Africa towards new heights and the world has accepted South Africa as the Rainbow nation (nation of many colours).

I just do not get this logic. They have a security procedure, that has been working amazingly well for them, then why question it?
If people see such a big deal with this issue, then please do not visit or stay in America and do a favor to your self respect!!
If they do not bend security measures for even diplomats, it shows how serious they are about their security!!
We should in fact learn from them.

u r forgetting or overlooking the role of the millions of former indians in sa. they are now govt ministers and top business people who are also driving south africa forward

Well, so far in my life (17 years), I can't remember anyone who has ever been discriminatory like that to me. But thats maybe because I live in a highly populated area with many religions.
