How many days a week you eat meat?

Pashtun eat alot of meat. But we do add vegetables with it. Its like meat almost daily but along with vegetables as well. We eat alot of rice too, almost 5 days a week. Mostly pulao though, biryani not liked too much by pashtuns.
We have a few types of meat that we rotate through. We love Buffalo meat, which is not common in cities. We also eat camel meat but thats rare and expensive. We love beef, as in cow or bull meat, its eaten the most. Then we have goat and sheep meat which is favourite here but expensive. Fish is also liked and then chicken.

Beef Almost 5 days a week but now I realize that it's not good for health. I now prefer chicken.

now mostly beef /chiken /motton is damn behind me hardly i can avoid them . even i eat other dishes they have something meat in it like haleem /murgh chana / veggi with meat or chicken /sahi daal /daal kashmiri /

You eat rice 5 days a week?how many times a day?like 2 or 3 times as we south indians do or only for lunch?
One more question...is khyber paktunwa suitable for growing rice?i know indian punjab is one of the top most producers of rice...i am sure pakistani punjab does the same..what about remaining provinces of pak?Do they import rice from punjab?

Once a day and thats mostly at dinner. We dont eat plain boiled rice, we usually eat it as beef pulao mostly, or channa pulao. Note that this is mostly in northern areas of KPK, the central n southern area pashtuns eat rice once or twice a week only.
Yes rice is grown in KPK northern areas, though its a local variety called begamai rice. Mostly rice is grown in punjab and sindh too. Punjab produces top quality basmati and sela rice that is exported to other provinces as well as other countries.

I eat two days a week..
All days, need to reduce this however I do like chicken a lot more in general

3-4 days a week. Love vegetarian and meat dishes so we try to balance them as best as possible.

I eat two days a week..
7, or sometimes my mom forces me to eat dal or vegetable one day. My teeth are perfect for hunting. So you see.

Doesn't pulao or biryani recipes in general consist of ghee or a lot of oil irrespective of the meat or veggies used which kinda affects health in the long run. Coupled with red meat like beef or goat which have higher fat content.

How exactly is this working out or do y'all use a more subtle version with less spices and oil/ghee?

White meat like chicken and fish can be consumed everyday in limited quantities based on your BMI provided you're cooking light dishes with few spices like grilled chicken or the likes

Yes pulao is very oily and mostly in our area they cook the rice in water that left from boiling the meat, so it contains the animal fats as well. In our house we use olive or canola oil in limited quantity but mostly fats are used alot. Though we dont use spices, its still oily and fatty. In our area they say eat all the fat u want but then climb the mountains and chop the woods.

I dont know how much a kg of mutton costs in pak but here in india it is very expensive...in telangana it is around 650 rs per kg(around 9 USD)...many families cant afford to eat it even once a month. Even the richest of the families eat it 4 or 5 times a month.

US being a beef and chicken eating nation, lamb is pretty expensive with most of the lamb/goat meat being imported from New Zealand and Australia. The cheap cuts start around $10 with the better cuts ranging around $20-25 per pound. Buying ground lamb in the US in more crappy since they mix a lot of fat for volume

For comparison, walmart chicken costs $2 per pound while some of the other brands are usually under $5 per pound

The broiler chicken nowadays available is most harmful for health i guess. They r grown in 30 days and given weird stuff. Many times high arsenic been found. They cause hormone issues. I say eat anything u want but make sure its organic and natural and exercise. U wont have any health issues ever. My elders used to pour a cup of pure desi ghee onto everything they ate, but they never had heart or health issues, all were strong n had long lives. The reason, they used to work alot. Their life was very physical and thus never had health issues.

In Pakistan sheep meat costs around Rs 1200/kg. Its really expensive. Beef though costs Rs 350 to 400/kg. Chicken is Rs 160/kg alive.
