How many days a week you eat meat?

.
I eat chicken around 5 days a week. Beef about twice a month (a good ribeye steak with mushroom sauce :-))

.
Pretty much every day Chicago and Fish, and some times Beef (but not a big fan) I mostly substitute it for goat meet if available.

.
The broiler chicken nowadays available is most harmful for health i guess. They r grown in 30 days and given weird stuff. Many times high arsenic been found. They cause hormone issues. I say eat anything u want but make sure its organic and natural and exercise. U wont have any health issues ever. My elders used to pour a cup of pure desi ghee onto everything they ate, but they never had heart or health issues, all were strong n had long lives. The reason, they used to work alot. Their life was very physical and thus never had health issues.
Of course, the poultry and meat available for our ancestors were cage free, organic fed and free range. Even now, the country chicken you get in villages has relatively way lower fat content. Idk if you've seen the chicken breasts of generic walmart brand in the US but they look like they're fed on steroids. The breasts alone are the size of a whole chicken you get in India. The chicken here also doesn't inherently have flavor unlike our desi ones which is why I always marinate overnight for the flavor to seep in

I mostly get my chicken from the local Afghan or Indian store which kinda tastes better than american grocery chains though slightly price. When it comes to beef, I did try in a few pakistani restaurants but didn't really like beef in desi recipes...maybe I haven't been to the right restaurants. But I do like beef in western cuisines though

In Pakistan sheep meat costs around Rs 1200/kg. Its really expensive. Beef though costs Rs 350 to 400/kg. Chicken is Rs 160/kg alive.
Woah, beef is like 1/3rd the cost of lamb/goat. It's pretty much the same in US where beef is kinda priced on par with chicken. In India, you can mostly find beef in Kerala, Goa and the North East while Buffalo meat is available in the hindi belt like UP/Bihar

.
The wrong question, it should be how many times a day?

Free range desi chicken is amazing. Superb flavour. I only have it in Pakistan but nowadays even in our villages people tend to have battery chicken. Its very sad.

I eat two days a week..
If meat excludes fish then twice a week. If meat includes fish then everyday.

I eat 2 eggs everyday.

Not sure how grocery store chicken is in UK but farmed chicken in South Asia isn't as bad as what you get in the west. For instance, the farmed chicken in South East Asia have a relatively yellowish skin compared to the bland white ones of the west. They're both better tasting IMO for desi recipes

You'd have to look for organic non-GMO free range chicken which are available in stores like Whole Foods which taste a lot better and aren't the beastly size of Walmart and CostCo Chickens

Never seen a live walmart chicken but their breast cuts seem as if they're a cross breed between a regular broiler and Brahma Chicken

Haha true man...i ate biryani once in andhra...i dont know how those guys could call it biryani.
Tamil fellows add tomato.
Pakistanis add chicken and mutton pieces when the rice is boiling( not layered )...they dont taste anywhere near hyderabadi biryani and its a shame they are called biryani in the first place...as that board outside thhe restaurant correctly puts it they should be called pulao or chicken or mutton masala rice.

Andhra doesn't really term their biryani as "biryani" unless it's made Hyderabadi style. They always call their biryanis as "pulao". In Tamil Nadu, even the renowned Dindigul Thalapakatti Biryani was actually invented by an Andhra Settler named Nagasamy Naidu which is why it tastes very close to Andhra Pulao

I had pakistani biryanis here in the US which might not be tasting completely authentic just like ours but the description is kinda apt "masala rice". IMO, the only biryani which comes close to Hyderabadi biryani is Lucknowi Biryani

That is pretty expensive; it is free for me :) - have own cows, sheep, goats and chicken. Plus wild game from time to time.

Chicken is the cheapest here. Around 10-20rands/kg depending on the 5kg box you get. beef is next around 60rands/kg. Botswana is cheapest when it comes to Beef and I mean premium quality compared to the rest of the world - 14-20 pula/kg (1.5$)Kalahari beef which sells for premium in EU at 30-40EU/kg.
