True sir but I have seen kids whom I tried to make friends with publicly speaking against Pakistan, punjabis and muslims. They are born in America but when I met their parents I was absolutely shocked to know their parents held same beliefs.

True Socialists established organizations like SIUT and TCF who help the underprivileged, they did not sit around feeling pity for themselves and actually stood up and accomplished something, and did not resort to rebellion or violence.
Yeah, a Sindhi by the name of Bhutto with the help of Bugti ended Balochistan's govt and plunged it into what it is now, and a "Punjabi" dictator announced public pardon for Balochi separatists.

I've always stated the same. The Federation exists to represent the people and not the other way around. If you feel that the federation no longer represents you, if you feel that your aspirations lie outside of the federation. Then petition your local MPA/MNAs to bring a motion for autonomy/separation to the relevant assemblies.
Actually DO something rather than sitting in some third country and moping about it on a forum.

I am so not astonished to see such kind of discussion.Any thread that discusses Karachi or Sindh or Punjab and politics of such provinces and cities usually becomes a troll fest tragedy.
It is unfortunate that none of us actually is interested to discuss real problems of Karachi or other parts of Pakistan.Instead, such kind of discussions are started and carried by some cheer leaders of PPP,MQM,PTI or PML-N.If any of us were really suppose to be sincere then we would have initiated the discussion neutrally, truthfully and with diagnostic approach and in search of resolution rather than abusive remarks, throwing filth and most prominently this highly "Divide and rule" approach that needed to be dealt with strict response with immediate effect.

1. Sindhi first or Muhajir first?

• Both ethnicity have provided benefits and made co-existence possible.However, latter generations seems to abuse sacrifice and harmony of former ancestors that welcomed the muhajirs and the ones who invested and contributed positive changes.

2. MQM/PPP as saviors of Sindh and Karachi:

We seem to still live in the era of jahiliya in Sindh and in some areas of Karachi as well.

• I don't think so.With Mr 10% as chairman of PPP or Altaf Hussain making anti-Pakistan speeches.They seem to will take more benefit of fear of Sindhi and insecurity of Karachiites and will keep us all suffer in upcoming decades.Their landlord will keep looking at your daughters the way fathers don't and so bhatta mafia will keep ruling over the heads of traders and businessmen.I have also zero expectations from PTI as well so PTI fan boys do not manipulate this post for your party.

3. Ethnic violence:

• The history of Karachi is filled with ethnic violence. When such parties have got elected then we have seen just power struggle for such parties and see whom they used as fuel? you! me or us.It is public that holds power to take decision but due to less literacy rate we believed them and what we have got instead? They made us stand in front of each other.A Pakistani, standing in front of Pakistani.This is how world was looking at us.On contrary to that how we were seeing each other? A Sindhi, A pashtoon worker or an Urdu speaking slaughtering each other.
• When someone among you and me try to look at other perspective then the only path these demons show us is the fear to living with each other.It is your WBCs killing your own RBCs. Both are important.They train and hire thugs and down the street criminals and authorities mostly raided on die hard fanboys.
• I do not blame authorities but you and me.If we have elected good ministers not sinister then they wouldn't have spread like a cancer and tried to misguide all important sectors of regime.
• If you are really sincere with Sindh and then take off your ethnic glasses firsts.If you claim to own Karachi then you must own Sindh as well and dying villagers of Sindh and vice versa.An inner Sindhi must own problems of Karachi as well.Then we will be able to think something useful for sure.

• We require unity and trust at each other.We need to get out of this ethnic black hole and need to own problems of entire province.Once we will become single voice then we will be able to move forward and select new leaders and tribunes in assembly.

Karachi is NOT Mohajir

I didn't start this thread because I wanted to feed racism and disunity.

We need to understand first that Karachi is NOT Mohajir. Do not label Karachi as something that emigrated to Pakistan in 1947. There are more Pashtoons, Punjabis, Baloch, Sindhis living here than the Urdu speaking community; more Sarayeki than anywhere else.

Karachi is Mini-Pakistan. It's a motherly state that feeds everyone who seek refuge in her arms.

People do not die of hunger here. Allah has blessed this city with countless of His bounties. Most of the charity works take place here in Karachi. This is the city of Abdul Sattar Edhi, this is the city of Dr Adeeb Rizvi. This is the city of Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Founder of Pakistan.

We have charity organisations who are feeding the poor. You will be surprised to know that around 1 million beggars come to Karachi in 'Eid season' to collect 'charity'

The Root Cause

Since age of discretion, I've been seeing a downfall of this city. And the reason is this city has been discriminated by those in power and authority. I'm not a hater or a racist. If development happens anywhere in Pakistan, I feel proud of it. But it's a sad fact that Lahore is shining, and Karachi is rotting. And the reason we are given is 'Keep electing Altafists'. Are you joking?

Did we create Altaf Group? Did we let Altaf Hussain flee to London in 1992? Did we create MQM's Landhi faction (Mohajir Qaumi Movement)? Did we ask Benazir and Nawaz to form a coalition government with Altaf Group? Do you really think we elect MQM candidates? Do you believe these elections are fair and rigging free? Don't you receive reports how MQM has had forced people to go and vote for them? Did your media ever bother to cover those scenes? Did your media ever dare capture images of MQM's unit in charges casting thousands of fake votes in polling stations? Did your holy judiciary ever put them on trial? A single bloody one punished?

You left the Urdu Speaking Community at the mercy of these Fascists, and now you complain that we have made them powerful?

This is the actual discrimination which has been done to us, and this is the root cause of destruction of Karachi.

Had Karachi been allowed to be administered by its capable people and intelligentsia, it had prospered not only itself but the whole of Pakistan.

Why this joke?

Karachi is far more better today than it was when MQM was powerful. People have had a sigh of relief. However, there's little hope things will become better than this. Garbage is heaped, roads are broken, parks have gone, water supply is disconnected or insufficient. I see queues of old and young men and women outside 'water hydrants' with a request to take a 'water tanker' in this holy month of Ramadan; they stand (nothing to sit on) by the roadside under the sun when it's too hot..

Now don't compare Karachi with your village in the Interior Sindh or elsewhere; we are the tax payers. We pay our utility bills, we do not steal electric power or water. And we are paying higher price of utilities than are paid in the up-country. Our tax contribution to Pakistan's economy is maximum.

And when I use 'we, our, or us' I don't mean Urdu speaking, please note that. I am representing Karachiites from all races and creed.

A concern

The political climate in Karachi is calm. An anti-virus was run over MQM, and what left behind is Farooq Sattar's MQM Pakistan, Mustafa Kemal's PSP and Afaq Ahmed's Mohajir Qaumi Movement. I think before election they will either join together or have a sort of 'understanding' or 'seat adjustment'. And we will have to eat 'old gutka' in new packing.

From my posts you can judge how opposed I am to PTI and Imran Khan. But trust me, I'd rather let PTI win over MQM in Karachi. In the previous election PTI received a satisfactory number of votes in Karachi, even in MQM's base Azizabad. And this is because پچیس سال تک آزمائے ہوؤں کو کیا آزمانا

People who are born with 'twisted and evil nature' will never change.

But if PTI or PML (N) are given a chance to rule Karachi, they will most probably transform it into a much better place. But you know it's not going to happen. We will suffer from MQM once again.

Next Government & the Solution

PPP will once again form Sindh Government, MQM will have majority in Karachi in any form. And Karachiites will see a similar tussle going on between the two evil cousins; PPP won't issue funds to MQM for development, it will not even spend money on Sindhi voters in Interior Sindh. Zardari the Devil will keep acting like Qaroon and a Dajjal and transfer our tax money to his hell in Dubai or Switzerland through Ayyan Ali Private Limited.

This is the reason why, you should give us as many NA seats as you are giving to KP, and make us equal to the Sindh Province minus Karachi (As many NA seats for Karachi as for the rest of Sindh).. or make Karachi a separate Southern Province so that the Karachiites (Mohajirs, Pashtoons, Punjabis, Sindhi Baloch, Sarayekis etc) may get rid of evil feudal elites of Interior Sindh.

I don't understand why you would resort to abusive language. Even if I was ethnic Sindhi or from village it doesnt give you right to abuse or attack personally or disrespect me. This happens when people don't have argument. First of all I am not from any village and was born and raised in Karachi. In fact my three generations belong to Karachi. My grandfather came to Karachi in 1942 from Gujarat and slept on footpath. He retired as assistant commissioner in Karachi after joining govt as clerk. My maternal grandfather also worked all life in kmc.

Now coming to history. Ever heard of jamshed nasarwanji. He was the architect of modern Karachi and visioned it as future big city. And when Karachi was capital, it was European architects who did much of town planning. You won't find trace of planning after late 1970s except may be in cantonment areas. It was after that Karachi started to grow haphazardly. If you know that much history than tell me which part of city was planned after 1980 or by so called immigrants. And before you attack me again let me remind you that I am also so called immigrant. But I don't call my self that now. I don't think my father should even call himself immigrant because he was also born and raised here.
Also if you have time then check old pictures of Karachi. MA Jinnah road was not much different before partition and I believe it was much better then than its now. Also look at the condition of areas like orangi, korangi and liaquat abad.I will say nazimabad was much better planned and see what it has become now. This is how immigrants has built this city?

Karachi downfall started due to non serious attitude of gov towards karachi ... its more than 30 years since zia died and still we are pointing at him ... what subswquent govt did after zia ? What PPP did for layari, malir, sohrab goth all PPP and sindhi/balochi dominated subrb areas of Karachi ...
