I was more concerned about the lack of security than anything else. Its like the Walmart for terrorists.
Most of the Indian ammunition is of Soviet/Russian origin manufactured under licence in India, but I don't think we store our ammunition in the open like this.

This my friend is Russian forests if you can look at the terrain in the background; you don't get that sort of stuff here. The reason why Russians can keep it like that is because their country is so huge, by the time the terrorists reach the depot, they'd have reached their expiry dates . Trust me, Siberian forests are endless; I've been there.

But as you say, I hope they don't keep it like this in our place because it would be a weapons bonanza for terrorists.

It certainly is NOT by design, nor is it optimum.

Russia doesn't have magic brass or metals that don't corrode. The environment is going to destroy those munitions. It's both wasteful and it ignores security. Could you imagine ONE hand grenade or small bomb tossed on that pile?

For me it seems more like an exceptional case than any sort of judgements we gather ... y or y not ?.......Undoubtly the way it is scattered only needs som dumb *** to show a fused cigarete to enlighten it...the rusted ll come alive automatically.
