How East Bengalis Got East Asian

.
Well I have similar stories associated with my family as well of being descendants of Persian traders settled in Chittagong plains. But to judge whether a person is a low-born or high born, you just need to take a look at their attitude.

Tamils and Dalits in India have long been victims of blatant racism and discrimination, yet they choose to submissively remain under the rule of North Indian upper caste Hindus. The reason is, they accept the North Indian upper castes as high-born who in turn consider the Tamils and Dalits as low-born.

Most of Indian Hindu population are of lower castes (some have even changed surnames to join the upper castes), going through the same subconscious concept of low-born and high-born. This is why they were easy subjects for the ruling class to rule them. For 1000 years they were ruled by the Muslims and now, by the North Indian upper caste Hindus. This has defined the religio-political system of India.

never seen any asian looking BD except for the few tribals communities bordering N.E India from CHT areas. Post some regular asian -BD.

Most bangledashis are adivasis.
Nolakwali @Śakra, I think @Mage wants to proposition the same. Read his account below. But, some Bd posters here have already stated that they belong to Persian, and Arab stocks. What is your opinion?

"---- in the beginning were the Mundas. Then there were the Dravidians, then finally the Aryans (and as an afterthought various East Asian groups on the fringes of northern and eastern Aryavarta). The thesis, broadly, was that the Munda people, who speak an Austro-Asiatic language, were the closest that the Indian subcontinent had to genuine aboriginals".

I do feel many of them has some(maybe very indirect) East Asian connection. More to South East though.

Adibashis were the Garo, santals etc......

Dude get over it. China is not taking in Bangladeshi. Even India doesn't want you guys! Quit claiming you're East Asian cuz you ain't. Your attempt make you desperate and pathetic:lol:
@Nilgiri used to poke fun of you folks and now I know why.
You people are so pathetic!
What next, DNA proves you have 0.00001% white blood than you want Murica to take Bangladeshi:rofl:
Don't get ahead of yourself. This thread was about discussing Bengali gene pool.
No one asked China to take anyone......lol no one wants Chinese either. Look at Japan, Australia etc etc...lol

There are lot of types of Indians....you are just on real low level historically (if you want to tag along when its convenient).

Its fixable today since we have hindsight to learn from....but you need to fix it to prove it instead of blah blah feelz.

We live in age of globalisation. Whole world is becoming one now. This meaningless nation borders are pointless.

Globalism is a disease when unfettered.

Politically and economically, the border only becomes more irrelevant when the countries are politically and economically similar enough...and crucially at high degree of development on both sides. Such is not the case for Bangladesh and India....and wont be for long time.

Historically and culturally, I leave to your countrymen to discuss and decide among yourselves. That said you personally do a good job holding the mirror to the ultra-nationalist stronk fakery among BD members here.

If it is about gene pool, better some institution does some genetic tests to determine the composition. THere are supposed to be mixing of blood in the pre-historic time and also during the historical time. In case of historical time, one should take into consideration the politics of those days when people from the west arrived in Bengal.

People also should not draw the line of blood on the present superficial borderline of Bangladesh with west Bengal or even Bihar. THere was no such border even before 1947. Why suddenly should someone suggest a special genetic pool for Bangladesh (BD)? However, it is true that genes continuously change from east to west and from north to south. But, there is no opportunity to fix the line between east Bengal and west Bengal.

Neither I, There is no full blooded Bengali with Typical east Asian look.If you found someone Bengali and look partial East Asian, then he/she has a close ancestor who may have mixed with our Tribal population in Chittagong hill tract or Sylhet. All the genetic study involving Bangladeshi happened so far in UK or USA with a very small sample population who mainly hail from Sylhet and Chittagong. Those immigrants shows on average 10-15 percent south east Asian gene.If an extensive genetic study done in Bangladesh involving all regions then this percentage will surely come down. In fact all south Asians have some East Asian gene. For example, Punjabis has an average 4 percent East Asian gene. But these are too minor to show up in faces.

A half Bangladeshi half Japanese super model in Japan. Her name is Rola, very famous in Japan.
Her father is a Bangladeshi immigrant in Japan and mother is a Japanese.

Everyone is mixed in South Asia, Mutts.

My family history is incredibly diverse as well. My great grandfather Pandit Kanji Mehta moved to Mumbai and later karanchi and started his own Mill there.

Later he along with his 2 sons moved to Tanzania & Zanzibar for treading and later moved to London and US based on Raj Passport. During their stay in Tanzania they adopted Christianity and dropped Mehta and kept Pandit titme as majority people there called them pandits.

Very good looking people, but I see no east asian feature at all. not even the eyes, skull shape, cheek bones etc. They look no different from our W-Bengal folks.

Another important fact is, Bengali new born baby do not born with 'Mongoloid spot' in their back which is universally common among East Asian Mongoloid population.

mongolian spot is not exclusive to asian people. I have seen marwari and bihari babies having them sometimes. I bet it is found in some bengoli babies too.

Give sources for the bengali gene pool studies coming from UK or USA bengali population please. As far as I know the 1000 genome project came from BEB, most probably low caste population of bengalis.

However all Bengali have some form of little east Asian in their blood, whether sylheti or non-sylheti. Even West Bengals as well, the Brahmin's have a bit more less. However I'm very sure the bengali coming from elite class families will have very similar genotypes to Brahmin bengalis as the muslims ones may have converted from Brahmin back in the day.

East asian blood is found as west as Kerela. One thing for sure is that genotype and phenotype don't necessarily relate always.

Also the middle class - upper middle class sylheti population among the diaspora as a whole look for the most part different from non-sylhetis. An average sylheti person's facial feature is much sharper than non-sylhetis among the diaspora. Non-sylhetiis of upper middle class look exact same, whether in Bangladesh or among the diaspora and ironically look far more mongoloid/east brachid or veddoid than Sylhetis on average. Both sides have good looking people never the less.

I'll use wedding trailers to compare crowds:

Non-sylheti wedding: Montreal

But, you failed to prove you are mix-blooded. You only stated how your ancestors adopted Christianity. But, we should talk about with reference to the history of intermingling in the long past and not about the present context.

Thing is, since the arrival of fair-skinned Aryans somewhere from the west of India the mixing with local Indians took place for about 1000 years. At some point, the religious heads sat together to find a way not to intermingle with the local dark-skinned people and remain pure Aryan.

Their activities had resulted in the creation of Castes and Varnas. However, there have been mixing already for a thousand years. Also, even after the adoption of the Caste system, the mixing did not stop.

There remained a culture of taking multi-wives by the Aryan men. For example, an Aryan Brahmin man would marry a Brahmani and will take also wives from other Castes. This system continued for a few thousand years by which one could see many Brahman-looking people among the Sudras also.

How? It was because although they were off-springs of the Brahmans, they were not elevated to that status. They had to identify themselves with the lower Castes because their mothers belonged there.

So, we can say there is a strong possibility of local Sudra blood among the high Caste Brahmins and also Aryan blood among the low Caste Sudras. Of course, there were more mixings in some places and less in other parts.
