How do you control your negative emotion

i take out my negative emotions by kicking every thing around me, but in pdf the case is little diff

everyone goes thru these kind of emotions in daily life.. that's something you get used to it. & keeping yourself bizy with either work or play can help you to get over it. but if you are talking about real crisis.. like dealing with real emotional issues like breakups or losing some one close to you.. then different people deal with it differently.
this might sound weird... when i was going thru a real emotional crisis.. i gave up drinking, smokin & stopped eating non veg & started going to gym & it did help me to get over it!! you have two choices infront of you when you are in a crisis. either dwell on it & let yourself down or get over it by changing your lifestyle!!

I try to figure out what may be causing these thoughts. Why have they come into my mind? What triggered them? The first thing that we can do to begin controlling our negative thoughts is to look at what triggers them to begin with. If we can successfully identify the things that bring negative emotions to our mind, we can then take steps to get rid of the causes of the negative emotions and then of course, the negative emotions will not appear at all.

as someone mentioned here that another means of tackling negative emotions is to do other things to occupy your mind. Take some time out of your daily routine to spend time with your friends, family or your romantic partner. Go out to a social gathering or enjoy a night in at home with some friendly discussion. You could even consider a vacation or day trip. Another successful tip that can prove to reduce negative emotions is to stop being selfish. Focus your intentions on making others happy and you will likely make yourself happy just knowing that you are making someone else happy and this can subsequently considerably help you to combat and control negative emotions in your daily routine :)
