How do we make PDF better?

I would like to make a simple suggestion which would help the forum moderators and administrators to keep an overwatch.

There are some intervals of time in a year when we see a lot of forum members, regardless of their nationality, posting threads with journalistic words just to get views or attention of members. These include words like "sheer jealous of...", "terrorist (country name) does.....", "(country name) compared to (terrorist groups like ISIS)...." etc.

The use of lofty words often results in inflamed tempers, flame baits, use of abusive and immature words and sometimes even threads with substantial content in them end up getting de-retailed. While PDF administrators have done a remarkable job reducing the number of trolls, being a host to multi-national members, there must be some sort of mechanism developed to keep members from over-exaggerating the true content of a source or posting provocative titles.

I may be unable to tell you how exactly to keep a watch on this, but perhaps those good with the website administration and design could look into the matter.

I am kinda saddened that no mod gave an answer to my suggestion back at page 57.

Is it possible to smack users with x amount of posts daily ?

@WebMaster didnt know anyother way to reply ... i liked the old look it was easy to go through threads , after last update i liked the LIVE tab so its not i dislike change .. if You need to change..change but please keep the basic structure the old one

Like what old structure? Be more descriptive so changes can be done to help.

1)there is no notification bar on home page.
2) it is harder to navigate through home page so we are missing a lot of content because of it.keep the home page as it is but will appreciate your effort if you could transfer the old layout of home page to the explore tab

There was a previous page where you get all the new and updated threads and new post all on a single page that is now not available can we get that back it was a big help.

And the mods will ban then. There are many Pak-only issues that Indians wade into, no offence.

The current system makes the navigation bit difficult the previous one was more easy.

It will cause a mess, and add to workload of poor Mods.
Since this is a open global forum that allows everyone to join, I think such nation specific section will be counter productive.

PDF allows even Israeli members to join so I think the foundation of this forum is net neutrality, equality and open debate.

repeat trollers, flame bates should be barred from posting or posts restricted to 5 / day...

also people not contributing knowledge but just making up facts should be given warnings... and post restrictions if they donot improve the content they are posting

..well in an ideal world, a one strike policy or a total ban exclusively for Indian members. But hey... Some wishes will remain wishes.

Other suggestion, was easier to see when someone quoted your post before. Or gave you a like. Perhaps revert to pre-update in that regard?

The only thing wrong with PDF that i ever found since i had known it just crystallized in my mind. And its almost entirely about Pakistani members. Suppose a, b, c are members. And a > b > c. This greater than other is of course related to things that are valued here: knowledge, insight etc. Now the wrong is that c judges b. As it becomes clear to c that b is of an inferior quality compared to a, c is quick to dismiss b. Even though c itself lies below b. When members judge those above them, whatever their shortcomings, then the forum loses its esteem and value in the eyes of many. It provides a look of improperness. Even when the 'a' type members here are highly proper people.
