I guess we'll see it when they go to war.
Seriously, looking at the inventory, and what's to come in the near future, they're pretty close to one another-technology wise.
Yeah we know their inventories are top notch, but performance wise and strategy wise how do they compare?
Hehe, and I know they won't go to war anytime soon.
Israel definitely has the experience. And I would say Egypt's Air Force would fair better in terms of strategy rather than the Saudi Royal Air Force.
But I don't have much to support that statement besides experience of the Egyptian Air Force and intelligence.
i am in tabuk and i can see daily dozens of sorties by F-15 and BAE howk here they are active on this front . every night they launch massive sorties and every few hours they rush in sky on israel border . for me i am satisfied with this kind of defense . today morning i notice 4 gray f-15s loaded with white colored fuel tanks moving toward Israel border and important part TPS series of radars world best SAMs and F-15 tornado typhoon are defending with full modern and all type of air to air air to ground and air to sea missiles without any restriction . if saudi with all this can't defend itself from israel then all other arab forces are nil too .
It depends on who do you believe,i don't have an exact opinion because i didn't see nothing. As you can see on this forum there are two sides:some say the saudis are incompetent, others that they have progressed.
Ofcourse ,this forum is very biased on all sides, from what i've read on what you would call "western forums" from people who said that they've worked with saudi pilots/engineers the general ideea is that they're not on par with the israeli but they are not the saudis of the 80's/90's anymore,in the sense that they've progressed a lot.Seeing the money they spend they can only go up from now on.
well what i see to be honest i wrote dear and i can see even now RSAF in sky . one can see tech active force modern weapons and will power and i see nothing less in RSAF. and sure israili long range radars also looking it on screens as saudi . problem is they live in peace so people take them easy . if they don't have war its better for humanity sir. i wish for them to live in peace as they are . we have forces to maintain peace not to rush on war . RSAF is doing its best to maintain peace and air cover of KSA . every major city has modern radars SAMs of different type and air coverage from nearby air base. they have massive base here in tabuk for advance jet training with BAK hawks and F-15s for active combat duty . what more people of KSA need then peace of mind from sky ?Yeah I tagged you because I'm sure you're knowledgable and live there.
I never knew you lived closer to the border. I'm not sure when it comes to performance against each other.
Can you elaborate on that?
I know which western forum you're speaking of and I got banned from it.
Some people there take it to the extreme and claim a qualitative advantage against anybody in the region.
I do see they have progressed logistics wise but I want to know about flying hours, training, approach to war kinda thing...

Lol,i got suspended once for not supporting gays and comparing them to paedophiles.
Anyway,it's hard to know about flying hours, saudis are very secretive.Let's wait for the arab members, maybe they can shed some light.
nobody has knowledge of future sir. sure they are trying to train young guys in real war look like games and they also went to exercises with many good air forces they have joined many times red and green flag in USA and Anatolian eagle in turkey also yearly exercises with friendly forces such as USA FRANCE PAKISTAN EGYPT ETC . each exercise cost millions of $ as you know sure for gain something .for me they will never be soft cake for Israel its not that era that is why saudi maintain weapons from many nations so keep balance in power . Israelis are good but they lose moral after fighting unarmed and poor people or fight with low tech nations . in fact it will be great to see what will happen to israil when modern fully loaded jets come to 80km range of there CAP or ADA missions . and i am more worry abut saudi ground crew wish they maintain turn around time at war time .I know this is their approach to security. But, we don't know what the future holds and I think they should train more along lines of war scenarios.
I just want to know if we put their Air Force into action what can we expect? How flexible can they be?
Firstly, both AF(s) are poles apart from one another in terms of military doctrine. While the RSAF was built solely for self-defensive measures, the IAF was built for offensive measures.
For the last 20 years, none of these two air forces had really got into a conflict in which each demonstrated their capabilities.
However, based on the given record of the IAF, it appears to be a hyper-offensive one.
Comparing both is like comparing two Mercedes, one is a Mercedes AMG, the other is a Brabus
Good point.
However I think KSA should play a little more offensive role in the Arabic world.
I don't want KSA to attack Israel don't worry.
