How can a united states citizen join Pak Army?

I'm 15 and i live in California US. I'm athletic and also play sports in high school such as american
football. I have high marks in school, so it would be easy to go to college, but i would rather have
the pride of being a soldier for my country. So what is the process. I was born in the United states
so i don't read or write Urdu. I can speak Urdu rather well. So what is the training like? and what is
the salary? do they give benefits like the US does to its soldiers? i am interested in joining the Pakistan air force or army. so what would i need to do? and how old do i have to be to join? any tips or suggestion? thank you

First tip is "do not listen to any non pakistani member here". :)

I think the first discussion you should have regarding this is with your parents, in detail. Let them guide you after you get them on board with these sentiments of yours.

Sorry-

We rightly do not allow such joining- the individuals loyalty always remain doubtful- and confused-

VCheng is a good example- why not to allow Amrikan citizens in the Army-

When did I express a desire to join the Pakistan Army?

I am quite happy where I am, thank you very much! :D

.
One of the most important factors is whether the action is voluntary. Many dual nationals are required to serve in their other country (Israel, Switzerland) so simply serving non-commissioned is not an automatic disqualification. However, since Pakistan does not have mandatory military service, such an act would be considered voluntary.

.
The most important fact here is the age of the OP: at 15, legally he is a juvenile still.

You do not have to express any thing Sir-
Yours been given as an example only- and why Pakistan army should refuse such Amrikan citizens-

Please keep in mind that Pakistan allows dual nationality to foreign nationals of Pakistani origin, and as explained above, if that foreign national chooses to give up their other nationality, they can legally join the armed forces if selected.

That is a legal right against which your personal biased opinion or examples have no weight at all. :D

The OP needs to be sure this is what he wants to do in discussion with his parents as he is still a juvenile. That is all.

Untill that happens- My example of you is valid :D-
Dont forget there is always an "if"-

Cm'on an example is suppose to make some one understand some thing easily-
Nothing personal at all- i am just being honest Sir-
I dont want any dual national to join PA- and i think PA has such policy aswell- :coffee:-

The answer is in the first couple of words of the first sentence.

So what now patriotic Pakistanis need a signed note for them to live in Canada or USA.
Trust me I have suffered under such linear mindsets. We have to be Canadians or get out type of thinking.

There is no rule or law that says a patriotic Pakistani must live within Pakistan. There are ways, specific ways to help our country while living abroad and Pakistanis will continue to use these means in order to support their nation.

Pakistanis in Canada earn 4 times as much for one. Remittances make up a major share in Pakistan's economy. Theres no law saying a patriot must live in Pakistan

Our organizations outside Pakistan are so weak because of this exact reason. No one believes Pakistan can be supported from the outside. Lobbying can be a major part in todays world for Pakistan. We need it. But our lobbying is so pathetic in US and Canada we barely achieve anything.

They will expect you to give up your US citizenship. You know that right?

And polish your Pak studies and Islamic education.
Particularly Indo Pak muslim history. The old sirs just love that.
Mohammad Bin Qasim, Mahmud Ghaznavi, Tipu Sultan... all the romantics who spread our Islamic boundaries right into Hind and things like that... Also no need of Gandhara and Indus valley civilization history. I don't usually like it but their history starts from when Islam came to the region in 714 AD by Qasim's sword.

We foreign raised kids suffer bias and discrimination in North America all our lives and then we have to be treated as foreigners in our own country. Its sad but the bigwigs back at home need to be sure.

American-Pakistanis make perfect spies. Don't believe me check out that doctor who helped get Bin Laden.
If he had told Pakistan and helped us get Laden ourselves he would have saved us Pakistanis some dignity but some people want to die with dishonor.

First, you have to ask yourself why you want to join Pak army? If your desire is to help Pakistan, then that can be best achieved by being a model, successful American and a positive example as a Pakistani-American. Make a lot of money and spend some of it doing investment/charity work in Pakistan.

Also, eventually when you grow up, you can help Pakistan a lot more by working within the American political system than by being a foot soldier in Pakistan.

That is the best advice so far!

Great answer sir. Also to the OP - Never forget where your forefathers came from and NEVER forget where your heart and soul is. Whether you spend a year or 30 years - your heritage and heart will belong to Pakistan. Dont ever sell your soul to the devil like some have......

First, I was highlighting to Zenobia that the OP is a minor. People at that age are naive to say the least.

Second, that "linear mindset" makes sense if you live there permanently. Immigrants will likely sacrifice something when moving into their new surroundings. It makes no sense to move into another nation and blatantly ignoring the laws of that nation. The result would be the eventual death of that host nation. I don't want to get into the nitty-gritty details of immigration but things like "honour-killings" are not allowed in most nations especially Western nations (which I'm sure you're aware of).

Lastly, although there is no "rule or law" requiring patriotic people to live within their own nation, actions such as enlisting in a foreign army is a security issue to both nations.

Me thinks the Americans are getting tired of special interest groups.
