How Bangladeshis view Pakistanis today?

Pakistan sometimes not co-operative when it comes to regional harmony.
For example: Pakistan is big reason for ineffectiveness of SAARC. even this time Pakistan gave veto in all SAARC co-operation like trade route, electricity co-operation etc.
this time Pakistan faced really tough time about electricity co-operation. All other members bang on Pakistan and finally Pakistan agreed on it.

you as indian and awami dalal are parroting indian official lines here. indians used trade route as proxy so that it can go to Central Asia through Pakistan, same way india used Bangladesh for corridor. At the same time

india prevented Bangladesh from getting trade route to Nepal
india prevented Bangladesh from getting electricty from Nepal
india prevented Bangladesh from getting trade route to Bhutan
india prevented Bangladesh from getting electricity from Bhutan
india prevented Bangladesh from building regional water management plan with Nepal and Bhutan.
india prevented Bangladesh from getting access to Pakistan.

Those who are eager to hear BDforever POV, might as well ask an indian for their oiinion.

Some of the British Bangladeshis are in mess. They are in identity crisis. They dont feel any affiliations to BD neither loyal to Britain. Going extreme. Those people are ruining both BD and Muslim image. @PersonasNonGrata Isnt is true?

Partly. There are highly successful British-Bangladeshis of Sylheti origin who are not necessarily running curry houses.

And yet, there are those ghettos filled with Bangladeshis who are usually from Sylhet. They are not very educated, do not make much attempt to improve themselves into what they can be over the generations, and only understand Sylhet and London. I have come across some chaps who do not speak Bengali, but only speak Sylheti and English.

Yet, I understand some do join ISIS. Young people can be highly impressionable. It is not only Bangladeshis.

I wouldn't worry about my 'image' in light of these. Bangladeshis of all social classes do many kind of bad things abroad anyway. Even rich Bangladeshis do those, such as Biman's gold smuggling, and at least one private airline (which I won't name).

Keep it honest, simple and sincere, always be updated, and social, and everyone will respect you. At least, that is my experience.

I've had good friends of Pakistan origin IRL. Back in college, I had one gaming buddy who is Pakistani.

Though I am not much a cricket person, whenever there is a match between India and Pakistan, Bangladeshis tend to support Pakistan. The reason is not necessarily religion, but rooted in the sentiment among several Bangladeshi cricket fans that some members of the professional Indian cricket community tend to look down on the Bangladeshi cricket team in a rather nasty kind of way. And let's not forget Mr. Navjot Singh Sidhu's comments regarding Bangladesh's cricket team.

Other than that, it is simply another country with its own struggles. Quite frankly, I see very little in common in regards to culture with Pakistan and India.

What Bangladeshi politicians and 'intellectuals' say are pretty irrelevant.

There were reports of a potential earthquake in the region they were stationed. That is why they had to fly to another location. Yes, I used 'they'.
I see resentment in your words than truth. If you have travelled in India(or pakistan), or met Indian/pakistanis (which am pretty sure you have), the similarity is obvious.

This isn't the case for bengalis only every foreigner in Britain is bemused about their nationality/loyalty to country. So we cannot call this thing as staining of name of their origin.
this always happens with first generation/second generation immigrant. In UK they did not allow assimilation easily so it continued many generations.

Recent scenario, Bangladesh's export to Nepal was worth only US$6.7 million; its major exports include pharmaceuticals, garments, plastics, handicrafts and other goods. Nepal on the other hand, exported only US$53 million worth of goods, which are largely agricultural produce such as pulses, lentils, rice and wheat. In 1998, the Phulbari treaty between India and Bangladesh allowed Nepalese goods access to Bangladesh through a transit route in India. In 2010, a joint communiqué issued by India and Bangladesh the assured giving Nepal and Bhutan access to the Bangladeshi ports.

The bilateral relations between Nepal and Bangladesh are progressing. Recently, the numbers of air-flight have been substantially increased to 18 flights a week from only 6 or 7. However, the commercial trade route is through Kakarbhitta/Nepal, Siliguri/India to the Bangabandhu/Bangladesh as the border points. All these three nations are the members of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) and Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMTEC).

see @Norwegian this is another example :disagree:

he has no clue about economics still shouts. why do you think wealthy countries working on trade route like BCIM,
euro asia route ?

you are butthurt because India will gain something which you can not accept, let me tell you in trade route everyone gets benefit.
even if you don't trade anything, you will get transit fee

No you are parroting indian line of bs and trying to mask danger of indian state sponsor terrorism inside Pakistan and Afghanistan using so called "TTP" proxy. Since when india pay transit fee? India used Awami proxy in Bangladesh for transit.

Bangladesh not to take any fee for food transport to Tripura
July 6, 2014 12:16 am
Business Desk The Bangladesh government has waived the transhipment charge from Food Corporation of India, to facilitate transportation of 10,000 tonnes of rice for Tripura by 700 Bangladeshi goods carriers via Ashuganj river port, reports Times of India.
‘We have been informed that the Bangladesh government will not charge anything for transhipment and transportation of rice through its port and roads for Tripura as a goodwill gesture,’ said a senior official of the state administration.
The official added that the Bangladesh government had already cleared transhipping of rice from Haldia port in West Bengal to Ashuganj.

And here goes economics into dustbin.
If what you say is true, every country must trade through aqautic route. China, Russia, India, Iran and Pakistan as well have no future for their land routes. We all must abandon land routes and go for aquatic routes since they are so cheap

Bhaya, Farji ka gyan without logic is so harmphul.

I'm guessing the reason for it being low is down to the women not working? Which I'm guessing is less likely to happen with the new generation.
I suspect the pakistani figure, do they underreport income to avoid taxes? It does not look like Indians are richer than pakistanis here, but then stats are stats.
Are the numbers mean or median?

You still do not get it, do you?
Cheaper is not always optimal. Oceanic route has limitations. Bangladesh can not transit Petro-products and other things from CAR via sea lanes as you mentioned in your posts, because there is no direct connectivity between Bangladesh and CAR on ocean.

For example, Take pipeline from Pakistan to China, Chinese could just ship all their oil from Iran and middle east by your logic, But they are not. They are choosing shortest route which happens to include sea lanes and road transport via Pakistan.

I am not an indian to follow indian heritage of lie. Trade volume is testament to that fact. Nepal is a land locked country and its need for export import is much larger volume than 50 mil. It is fact indian does not allow Bangladesh-Nepal cargo go through transit point and subject to enormous harassment.

bottom line, india and indians should never be trusted by anyone.

On the topic, Pakistan could be very important trading and strategic partner for Bangladesh. Both countries have complementary business and industrial needs. In defense and other sector there are plenty to cooperate. It is india and indian interference in Bangladesh prevents real co operation between Bangladesh and Pakistan.

Are you on denial mode?
At least read the bold part about transit route first before replying.

Still trying to act smart... :D

I know very well that cheaper is not always optimal but As there is not rail links between India and Afghanistan nor the current proposed agreement included any plans to build one so the only option in this case is roads and shipping trucks from CAR all the way up to Bangladesh is neither optimal nor cheaper and infect useless option for them. It's only optimal and cheaper for India but still from Southern India Sea-Land route is more feasible than via Pakistan. That's the reason India is investing in Chah Bahar connectivity project and on same time trying to get transit facility from Pakistan because people making policies knows that Chah Bahar is not feasible in every case i.e. shipments between Northern and Western parts via Pakistan are more efficient and economic than Chah Bahar.

I don't know the logic of your China's example, there is Karakorum Range on the way from Pakistan to China, So laying pipeline there is not kids play on top of that Industrial base is on opposite corner of China which means thousands of kilometers pipeline need within China herself. So, pipeline if ever built will be to cater needs of northwestern China only as per her plans to Industrialize that region as well.

Damn, you went upside down to confuse yourself between Indian and Bagladeshi interest. I am talking about optimal solution for Bangladesh for transport from CAR which you happened to mentioned in your previous post. Please explain how sea lanes would be benefecial in this scenario and what route must be optimal.

What's rocket science in that, it's same route which India is using i.e. Chah Bahar port of Iran, or Karachi port of Pakistan which India is also used by India.
