Solar-Panel Roads to Be Built on 4 Continents Next Year
“We wanted to find a second life for a road."
BLOOMBERG.COM

NOW YOU MENTALLY DE ARRANGED RETARDED INDIANS CAREFULLY NEED TO RE CAST YOUR STRATEGIES.

The country is on schedule to be the world’s third biggest solar market next year. The solar plant, built in an impressive eight months, is cleaned every day by a robotic system charged by its own solar panels.

The facility in Kamuthi, Tamil Nadu, has a capacity of 648 MW and covers an area of 10sq km.
This makes it the largest solar power plant at a single location, taking the title from the Topaz Solar Farm in California, which has a capacity of 550 MW.
The solar plant, built in an impressive eight months, is cleaned every day by a robotic system, charged by its own solar panels.
At full capacity, it is estimated to produce enough electricity to power about 150,000 homes.
The project is comprised of 2.5 million individual solar modules, and cost $679m to build.
The new plant has helped nudge India's total installed solar capacity across the 10 GW mark, according to a statement by research firm Bridge to India, joining only a handful of countries that can make this claim.
As solar power increases, India is expected to become the world's third-biggest solar market from next year onwards, after China and the US.
Despite the fast-growing solar power industry, India will still need to increase its take-up of solar panels if it is to achieve the ambitious targets set by the government.
By 2022, India aims to power 60 million homes by the sun. It is part of the government's goal to produce 40 percent of its power from non-fossil fuels by 2030.
This aim has been praised by environmental groups and is hoped will also help reduce the country's problem with air quality. At the beginning of this month, the pollution level in the capital New Delhi reached its worst levels in 17 years .

HEIGHT OF DOUBLE STANDARD BY THE INDIANS

India should withdraw from this project showing safety of investment concerns and let that energy-starved country to live with their misery.

Edit: They will sing a new song, cry foul and blame India for stalling their growth if we withdraw, we should just keep the project hanging till the time situation improves, knowing Bangladeshis, it would be forever.

A coal fired power plant inside bangladesh's Sundarban mangrove forest area as Indian submarine base! Even the water nearby is shallow, and keep rising up and down twice everyday with tide. Most of the workers will also be Bangladeshis BTW, we do not follow Chinese labor strategies in foreign investments.

If I am not wrong, you claimed to be an ex-military or something like that, like @asad71 who also claimed to be an ex-army from Bangladesh, don't really mean to offend anybody but just curious, does Bangladesh military recruits only loonies or the recruits become loonies after joining Bangladeshi army?

Edit: Considering your age (claimed age) I am taking back the word 'loonies', I think 'utterly ridiculous conspiracy theorists' should not sound offensive...given the standard of posts.

1.You idiot, officers are not recruited. They are selected and granted commission.
2. From the start BD activists have been asking India to build this "dream" project across the border and sell the electricity to us. Why don't you guys agree to that?

Just google SWATCH OF NO LAND, your evil intentions will be revealed, once and for all. WISE RAIN MAN.

Marine geology
A zone 50 m wide extending from the island of Ceylon and the Coromandel coast to the head of the bay, and thence southwards through a strip embracing the Andaman and Nicobar islands, is bounded by the 100 fathom line of sea bottom; some 50 m. beyond this lies the 500-fathom limit. Opposite the mouth of the Ganges, however, the intervals between these depths are very much extended by deltaic influence.

Swatch of No Ground is a 14 km-wide deep sea canyon of the Bay of Bengal. The deepest recorded area of this valley is about 1340 m.[The submarine canyon is part of the Bengal Fan, the largest submarine fan in the world

EVENT DETAILS
SWATCH OF NO GROUND MARINE PROTECTED AREA EXPEDITION

Announced on October 27, 2014, the Swatch of No Ground (SoNG-MPA) is Bangladesh's first marine protected area. It is located in the Bay of Bengal at the head of a submarine canyon. It spans approximately 672 square miles (1,738 square kilometers) and is more than 900 meters in depth in some locations. The area is a key breeding and spawing ground for dolphins, whales, sharks and turtles. The marine protected area was established for the long-term protection of cetanceans that inhabit waters offshore of Bangladesh.

Expedition in the Swatch of No Ground Marine Protected Area provide the ideal opportunity to opportunity to show solidarity for the conservation of marine life that proud us all and raise national awareness of the importance of marine life in our lives.

NOW WHAT? MY ENLIGHTENED @wise RAIN MAN,AND @ BLUE SKY,TIME FOR YOU TO RESPOND LOGICALLY BASED ON SCIENTIFICALLY PROVEN FACTS

MOREOVER POST 1971, RUSSIANS SUBS WERE STATIONED THERE AS WELL AND SUPPLIES WERE PROVIDED BY THE RUSSIAN TRAWLERS PROVIDED TO US AS GIFTS+ RUSSIAN NAVAL PERSONNEL WERE ALSO IN CHITTAGONG+ KHULNA, SUPPOSEDLY TO SALVAGE SUNKEN SHIPS, DESPITE THE FACT THAT COMPLETE NAVAL WAS ENFORCED ALL ACROSS THE BAY OF BENGAL BY THE INDIAN NAVY+ FORMER U.S.S.R.

WHY THEN SINK THE SHIPS ANCHORED IN OUR PORTS, POSING NO THREATS,WHATSOEVER IN A FULL NAVAL BLOCKADES BOMBED AND SUNK, AT PORTS BY I.A.F?

TO CRIPPLE OUR PORTS, SO THAT SUBSEQUENTLY IN THE NAME OF SALVAGING THEM ,YOU ALL, COULD YOU ALL MAKE YOUR PRESENCE LEGITIMATE?

ITS HIGH TIME TO REVEAL THE REAL TRUTH,BEFORE THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY.

PLEASE GET OUT IF YOU HAVE THE SLIGHTEST DIGNITY LEFT IN BANGLADESH ALONG WITH ALL YOUR POWER PLANTS+SHUT DOWN THE TRANSMISSION LINES AS WELL.

WE HAVE CHINA NOW.:smitten::smitten::smitten::smitten:

AND PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM BANGLADESH FORUM,ALSO.

North end of the Swatch of No Land would be ideal to let PLA build a nuclear sub base. PLA has been wanting to base nuclear subs in BD since the 1990s. That should drive the Bharatis for cover.

1. Stupid comment, who knows who is/was an officer or not, rest of the things are jugglery of words.

2. You don't want power plants in Bangladesh, ask your government to cancel it. You can request for buying electricity from us; we sell it or not, how much we sell, at what price, and from which source, all these are our prerogative.

Our Government? Stated by which incompetent and illiterate MORON? You meant to state, that your RAW installed puppet illegal people presently in power,an unelected body ?

WE NEVER EVER IN THE PAST, EVEN ONCE ASKED INDIA TO SELL US THEIR POWER?

NOW WITH THE ASSISTANCE OF YOUR PUPPETS REGIME, YOUR EVIL INTENTIONS ARE SURFACING, IN PHASES, GRADUALLY.

BD army and the ministry of foreign affairs do not certainly recruit loonies, but the two guys you mentioned like to claim respect. They are really loonies with fake identities because they do not understand that, "Only a Crown does not make a person a King". People here in this Forum will read posts to know who or what a poster is.

The idiots from BD in this forum and the Anu Mohammed/Shahidullah-led so-called fake nationalists outside do not care that India is already supplying BD with 500 mW of power, and a cancellation of Rampal will cause BD to purchase the equivalent of 1320 mW or more power from India. India will certainly be happy to sell it. BD idiots will then start protesting that India is overwhelming the BD power sector with its own supply.

I have a personal dislike for the present BD govt. in Dhaka. But, I am not here to criticize its efforts to buildup the poor electricity sector, because I am not a part of Huzug-e-Bangal. People here like to run after the eagle without first touching their ears. Note also, how another group in west Bengal destroyed the TATA project in their Province. Now, they are lamenting it. Being a part of Bangal you yourself know our destructive culture. Oh!! You are a Ghoti/Ghatia.

Welcome anytime, you could stay in my residence as my guest.

Please assist us in constructing ECO FRIENDLY POWER PLATS with huge outputs. We desperately want to reduce our dependence on HYDRO CARBONS, an extremely expensive affair+ full of CO2 emissions,ALONG WITH HAZARDOUS TOXIC RELEASE.IN OUR ATMOSPHERE.

In Bangladeshs rural areas MOST HOUSES have already placed SOLAR PANELS, made in CHINA,of course, and dont have to pay any ELECTRICITY BILLS, these are are common, only routine manual maintenance are required, for cleaning the panels.
.
ADDITIONALLY,WIND TURBINES,COULD ALSO BE PLACED ALL ALONG OUR COAST LINES AND HIGH ELEVATED POINTS IN THE HILLS.

THE DAILY TIDES, N THE BAY OF BENGAL, ARE ANOTHER SOURCE,THAT COULD BE UTILIZED TO GENERATE ELECTRICITY.

China shall help BD building more Eco friendly power plant. I want to visit BD and have a look at this beautiful country!
Excuse me, what Chinese eco-friendly project you are talking about!! The Capital Beijing has become an unlivable city because of smog blitzing from its coal-fired power plants. China should mind refining its air first.

BD belongs to tropical area, totally different. They don't have to fire coal at winter. They can develop nuclear power plant and other eco friendly power plant. Since BD people don't want India build power plant at that area, there is no point of India insisting doing so.

Here's where most of China's toxic cloud of smog comes from
Air pollution in China has been growing to epic proportions in the past decade.

  • A harmful cloud of smog measuring the size of California hung over China this week as the city of Beijing declared its first ever "Red Alert" — a serious public health warning — due to the swelling noxious cloud.

Schools were shut down and residents were cautioned to limit outdoor activities.

On Dec. 7 alone, levels of minuscule cancer-causing particles in Beijing's air crept to about 20 times the limit that the World Health Organization deems safe. The levels in China during one weekend in November were about 50 times WHO's limit.

So what's to blame for this billowing plume of pollution? Coal.

In fact, China is the world's top emitter of greenhouse gases from coal, a fact easily illustrated by this set of graphics compiled by Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, and explained in a post by Tim Urban on his blog "Wait But Why."

The data in the graphics are compiled from 2007, so the numbers are likely to be slightly different today. A report from early November suggests that China burns 17% more coal per year than its government had reported. This means that it releases nearly a billion tons more carbon dioxide — a potent greenhouse gas — into the atmosphere than was previously thought, The New York Times reports.

While the numbers in the chart below may be an underestimate, it still makes an important point.

Although the graphic looks confusing, it's actually a shockingly simple illustration of the different types of energy we use across the globe, and where that energy goes. This particular snapshot is of the world's consumption of energy in 2007.

The left side of the graphic is all of the world's energy sources — where we get our fuel. The lines in the middle represent the different sectors that use the energy, and the far right is where it goes. Rejected energy is energy that doesn't actually get used but escapes along the way, mostly as heat. Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory/Wait But Why

If you zoom in to coal consumption, you can see that the entire world used 130,000 petajoules (a standard measure of energy) in 2007.

Now take a look at the chart for China's energy flow.

Again, if you just look at coal consumption, you can clearly see that their reported use of the fossil fuel in 2007 was staggering — 57,000 petajoules, nearly half of the world's total consumption of this energy source.

Coal is a non-renewable fossil fuel that is formed in our planet's swamps over hundreds of millions of years. Layer upon layer of organic plant material is smashed together under intense pressure and heat. Coal harbors energy that plants absorbed from the sun millions of years ago. We extract that energy by burning it.

While coal use in China has actually been slowing since the early 2000s, due to sluggish economic growth and new environmental policies, it still must burn gargantuan amounts to keep up with its overwhelming energy demands.

Considering that burning coal is the top emitter of carbon dioxide and the leading cause of smog, acid rain, and noxious air pollution, China has a long way to come in clearing its ever-growing cloud of smog.

An estimated 4,000 people die every day from pollution in China — a sobering statistic considering that on bad days, breathing in a day's worth of polluted air does the equivalent lung damage as smoking 40 cigarettes, or two packs a day.

Technically, China can provide more viable energy option to BD than India can. same as maybe we will provide them S26 subs in the future. I like BD, most Chinese do.

I live at Shanghai, the weather here is much better than Dheli. The north part of China got smog cause they have to fire coal at winter for warm. It will be solved in the future by reducing the consumption of coal and more clean energy. The sharply increasing automobile number also contribute to the smog as well. You have to pay price when the economy is booming.
