And defence doesn't only mean protection from any attack; it also means ensuring that the sites stay under the protection and control of the Saudi royal family.

So tomorrow if your president felt that Turks should regain control of the two holy sites, then well.. you will be facing Pakistan.

The Saudi regime doesn't respect it's own people. It does not value military competence and is actually worried about developing the military to point where it can threaten the regime. All the high ranks are appointed for their loyalty to the regime and not for experience/credentials. That's why in proportion to their spending, they are not meeting performance expectations.

However, doesn't mean they are totally incompetent. OP and other members of the forum only show one side of the story.

False. Iran has at least supplied Ballistic missiles, ASCM(how did Houthis succesfully hit Saudi and UAE warships?), drones, suicide boat drones, etc. to Houthis. Be objective bro! how could houthis have survived thiis long after being blockaded and stuck in war for yeaars against well equipped armies like KSA and UAE and the arab coalition? I guess ur one of those people who will also say IRan doesnt support the taliban right? Its just denial man. I know for a FACT Iran supports houthis and taliban militarily. Maybe not all, but military help is provided, and it is considerable because it turns these forces into competent guerilla ground forces. who the hell trained houthis to be so effective? YOu are makinga good point, but let me explain it to you once and for all. THe reason why KSA cant win is because Yemen is a PERFECT militaryt situation for Iran- sizeable asymmetrical ground force in a big mountanous territory fighting an army that 1) doesnt have enough ground forces to take on the rebels/houthis and 2) its ground forces are trained in conventional warfare instead of asymmetrical warfare.

Bro, take it from me as a fact- Iran is the best at asymmetrical warfare, pound for pound, dollar for dollar. Look at how hezbollah started as ragtag shiite militias and turned into one of the ME's best military forces. Look at how Iran trained PMU in Iraq and turned them into a force that can even take on Iraq's military and probably win. Iran would have done the same to taliban but Iran never trains forces that have a good chance of betraying her interests seriously. THere is nothing else that can explain how Houthis have held on and been this effective. NOTHING. IMO Yemen's military already scattered like saddam's forces during the first initial months of airstrikes by Saudis, so those who say "Yemen's military had missles, blah blah blah before the war started" are BSing.
