Hopefully within the next decade we would have several squadrons of the home grown JF-17s replacing a number of older types in the PAF inventory. No doubt the Block-52s and the J-10s will spearhead the force. On a side note, the PAF may even acquire older F-16s for second line service.

when i said that rather then f16 we have to buy 5gen fighter..
Listen we should not buy any thing from west now and put our money on further development of Thunder and u will Inshallah a 5gen fighter will come out from PAC in 10-15 yrs,IF we put money to development rather then buying more f16 blk 52s.
PAF had a great move for buying only 18 birds.u will see soon the reason for saving money from new f16 deal,they r working on thunder's new version THE TWIN SEATER.besides 18 are enough to study deeply the tecnology of blk52

To be honest since Pakistan got JF17 Thunder, buying planes does not feels attractive anymore sure you get the thrills but JF17 and J10B is the future now for Us

F16 is F16 but JF17 just gives so much confidence that we have 100% production line in Pakiatsn soon

Still good plan - but JF17 thunder is our future

And it would be fantastic if we also get a helicopter production line of our own on the cobra model or something closely resembling it

IMHO If u can afford a 100-120 vipers ..then im quite sure you can afford 5th gen fighters too..
