Practice is a personal thing and rules of any religion are another thing.

Its good that respect for all religions is observed and the CO or commander of the unit observes religious festivals of his troops... but in true secular nations.. religion actually takes a back seat..

Respecting or even attending religious stuff of troops is a good practise... Islam actually encourages that... but literally worshipping others is forbidden... a Man can never bow to any other "God" ... Shahada the First Kalma is essential for understanding Islam " LA ILLAHA ILLAH MOHAMMAD UR RASOOL ALLAH " ... There is no God but Allah (none other to be worshipped) and Mohammad PBUH is the last Prophet...

If a muslim doesnt believe in Tauhid (oneness of God) or consider Prophet Mohammad PBUH as the last messenger... he is not a muslim..

There were no problems among the so called islamic society till a few decades back ? what changed? again geo political fuk ups is the answer... started when US created "Holy Fighters" against the USSR... thats how AQ,Taliban etc were born..
