NEW DELHI: India has demanded an apology from Pakistani players over their celebration during the 2014 Champions trophy.

Hockey India (HI) President Narinder Batra said there could be no series against Pakistan until an apology was given.

During their Champions Trophy semi-final match against India in 2014, Pakistani players took off their jerseys in celebration. Two Pakistani players had been banned for one match by the International Hockey Federation for objectionable gestures during the celebration.

well honestly speaking - we have already apologized and our apology was accepted by FIH, so this request of India is unwarranted for
