but isnt pakistan one of worlds strongest nation with maybe the 5th largest militarry ... they must be paying them salaries so i dont see why should indian be botherred about pakistani hokey playesr and they can play with any one whome they like and vice versa ... point is if india doesnt wants to play hockey with pakistan then why such a fuss over it .... can somebody clear this point

Avoid replying to trolls. To be honest i would want players who representing the country to apologize and not show such behavior, regardless of what the crowd is saying or even doing to you. They are representing Pakistan, what they did was indeed, very shameful and bad for our image. These players should have apologized along time ago. Let's hope, better late than never.

Apology was released in written by Pakistani team management after the release. Please do not forget that initial reaction of FIH officials present on the venue was that mistake lies on both parties. They said players were provoked by the crowd and they refused to take action against the players. Indian hockey chief went crying by threats that India will not host any international event unless FIH takes action against players. There was no demand for apology. So FIH placed one match ban on two players. Yet the little ego was not satisfied. Then came the demand for apology. Team management tendered a written apology. Little ego was satisfied to a degree. They never demanded anything else. Everyone thought matter is over. A person with shred of dignity would have tendered apology on behalf of indian crowd too which was disgusting to say the least. But never mind. No one asked for player's apology. None. Months passed. None! Then fast forward to talk of a hockey series and what you know? Little ego is still hurting. Suddenly calls for a new apology! How about apology for pathetic crowd behaviour? A real sporting nation would do that on its own but then again....

Let's call spade a spade! It is not sports! It is down right petty minded ego issue. A 5 year old shows better grace and character than this. I'm appalled; this stinks!
