Hoax? If Mars and other space missions were real, why is India unable to create lesser products?

Then Indians should have acknowledged the foreign role and they shouldn't have called it Indian mission.

Why did they mislead the public? I also believed the bullshit for many years. Now I feel disappointed.

All the parts of the rockets were imported from abroad. Perhaps for assembly also, foreign assistance was taken.

It's like saying that just because I use microprocessors I invented the microprocessor.

Well there is a difference between invention and manufacturing... hope you understand it...

India did the later. Hope you understand it.

Cuz india is a big fat hoax that thinks it's a legend in its own mind through fake bollywood "feel good" movies!

No and Yes!
Come on! NASA's moon-landing was a bigger hoax. India at least plagiarised. But NASA claimed something it didn't do at all.

Was it a hoax? If Mangalyaan and Chandrayaan missions were real, why is India unable to create lesser products?

USA faked the moon-landing in 1969. Did India do the same about Mars and Lunar space missions?

How would you explain that while India claims to travel such enormous distance in outer space but is unable to create products requiring much less ingenuity like military arms and equipments, mobile phones, computers, better trains, nuclear power plants, online social network, medicines, softwares etc?

How would you explain why India is still dependent on crap Russian technology for military items and nuclear power plant? The agreement for Kudankulam nuclear power plant was signed in early 1990s. But then came the dismantling of Soviet Union and the project was suspended for at least a decade. Why couldn’t Indians finish it on their own?

All this gives rise to suspicion. Indians didn’t produce this little above said things. How the hell they achieved Mangalyaan and Chandrayaan?

An apt video for this thread:

China made its first ball point pen last year.

India will send many more space probes before making ball pens and razor blades.

Why, is out of the scope of one forum post.

But the short answer is south Indians.
Just kidding.

Firstly, the Americans didn't fake the Moon landings. The simple reason that cancels out this theory is that their rivals - the USSR and PRC - would have made it public had it been the case.

As for the Mangalyaan and Chandrayaan missions, ISRO used tried and tested technologies. ISRO, actually its predecessor INCOSPAR, was founded in 1962 and has been helped greatly by USA, USSR and Russia. Critical components are still purchased from the West.

The real test would be for ISRO to launch a human space program, especially as ambitious like the one by SpaceX.

Technically, the private company SpaceX, founded 16 years ago, has achieved a lot more than the 66-year-old huge government agency ISRO.

And when we look at other fields like computers, there has been no India-designed microprocessor and operating system, and this is because much of the Indian education system does not go back to basics ( ask why this, why not that ). A few hundred thousand computer science students graduate from Indian colleges every year. Logic says that a few hundred, okay 10, different microprocessors and operating systems should have been outputted. But that is not the case. We must ask why.

Where is that @Karna_007 / @karna1 ?

Don't know which one is the new id of Mr. Nair. What does he have to say about this?

I thought you were joking ( what with China's huge industrial base ) but turns out not.

Does India make ball-points and good razor blades ( Gillette ) ??
I'm certain that almost all of our ball pen tips are imported. China at least used to make some crappy tips and imported 90%. I'm not sure if we're doing even those, for the pens that work for one week.

There are some Indian blade manufacturers on for decades. But none of them qualify for modern razor blades which are extremely difficult to make. So it's sort of a monopoly.

Gillette is American and even 7 o'clock is owned by them. There's actually an innovative Indian razor company, but they had to partner with a foreign one for blades.

It's like Kaveri (or Chinese) and Western engines. We can get to a certain power, but our metallurgy for the core just isn't good enough beyond that. And that monopoly will deter us from advancing.
