Russians Might not get a lot of benefit from Gawadar. The main purpose of Gawadar was an ease of access to middle east. Russians already have Oil & gas dumps, why would they need it.
Yes few of it's states which are near to Pak may get some benefits from it.

This is expected. Russia can really use the route with it going thru China. It can expedite many imports as well as exports. What we need to do is make sure to grow economic ties with the Russians and export perishables to them using this route.

It's a sign that Pakistan is now also a corridor for trading between Africa and Russian.

Or Qwadar will be the supporting point for Russian strategic existence in Indian Ocean.

I think they are going to bypass all the "stans" of central Asia and trade directly via China, into Pakistan and off the Gawadar port. There is too much bad American influence in the central Asian republics which can put spanner in the works.

See Russia. Invading Afghanistan and giving the impression that you were going to invade Baluchistan was not the way to go. All you had to do was ask nicely and there you go. The port is urs to use.

Very good step. This will help increase regional connectivity as well as create regional harmony as Asian countries get more and more involved with each other. We need yo continue focusing on our look Asia policy bcz geographically we will be with them forever and not with a nation located 12000km away.
