why not allow for those who dont consider it a crime or sin i mean you guys are mostly vegetarians but why should someone just stop eating beef tomorrow cuz all of a sudden a new law tells them to stop eating something because what other people eat is offensive to you

Most countries have laws banning the eating of some animal or the other whether it is tigers, bears, horses, cats, dogs even. In other countries, they may well be eaten.The cow is just another animal to be added to that list. The fact that it is eaten elsewhere does not necessarily make it a winning argument in India where there is a huge population that feels uncomfortable about it.

Btw, there are no new laws banning the slaughter of cows. Most of the states that have such laws have had it for decades.

It is not about shoving your beliefs on others. The objective of these Beef Parties is to insult Hindus and Hinduism; had always been; will always be. There is no need to attribute some sort of higher motive to them. I am all for people eating what they want, but have no doubt about intention of anyone who throws a beef party in India.

These people never had and would never have courage to throw Pork parties for Muslims, or even better draw cartoons of muhammad. This shows level of degradation that Hinduism has suffered in Kerala. Hindus have been brainwashed to such an extent by communism that they become willing participants to their humiliation.

Well there are many sources of Meat . I was a meat eater a year ago ( Bakara , Chicken , Fish ) . Now I am a Vegetarian . I am fit and fine . People will not die if they don't eat beef .

Things should not be selective . I heard Alcohol is regarded bad in Islam , yet some Muslims drink . Same about Pork and no one forcing Muslims to eat it .

At the end of the day , there are more important and urgent issues we need to tackle .
I firmly believe that the day has come , when we reject all religious ideas when it comes to politics and Governance .

Nice. A little buttery consistency. A central notochord.

Baby sharks are eaten in Mumbai regularly. Don't get them in Pune so easily.

I dont think anyone opposes consuming buffalo meat, which should not be a problem..... The only issue is around Cow.... The simple solution can be

1) Stop slaughtering cow's
2) Eat buffalo meat as much as you want....

By the way eating beef is not a biggie in Kerala, I know RSS hard core cadres who eats beef.......and no one take it seriously......

I wasn't referring to Kashmir but even there, it was not any new law but one that is been around even before the accession. The High Court only said that the law exists & must be followed, the present situation is that the Supreme Court has stayed the implementation of the law following a request for its intervention.
