Yup, no ethnic cleansing is going on in Bangladesh. But there is little to no doubt about the fact that Hindus of Bangladesh r leaving for India at an alarming rate. Reasons behind such migration needs to identified ASAP.

A renowned professor of DU, Prof. Abul Barkat has claimed in one of his books that there will be hardly any Hindus left in Bangladesh after 3/4 decades from here on. He mentioned in his book that the percentage of Bangladeshi Hindus leaving for India has increased in recent years.

Yes, as u rightly said, most ppl wanna be a part of the majority but at the same time we need to keep in mind that these r the same people who decided to be a part of Bangladesh/East pak after the separation. Even after the liberation war many of those who fled to India again returned to Bangladesh.

Then why r they migrating at an alarming rate now. What have we failed to do as an independent nation in last 40 years? R they feeling unwelcomed or threatened in Bangladesh or r they leaving for India just for a better economic life?

They are not being persecuted and are being given full economic and civil rights.

If they want to go to Hindu India that is their right.

1 crore of BD people live outside. Irrespective to their religion, people are looking for opportunities outside of the country boundary. For foreseeable future there will less opportunity per capita in a small landmass like BD with large population. As Hindus are low in number their population decrease may sound overwhelming. In 2015 alone 1% Hindu population increased in BD. That is 15 lac increase just in a year. How can the number increase 15 lac just in a year? It sounds like more Hindus are coming to BD.

The corrupt mentality like these try to portray Hindu population decreasing because of migration to India followed by persecution and illegal Muslim migration to India in same picture. Does it add up? The bigger picture should be economic/better opportunities.

Note what happens in the country. When a political goon humiliates, bullies or beats a Muslim, it is no news at all, and the victim cannot claim he is humiliated as he is a Muslim. Now, what happens when the same thing happens to a Hindu citizen? He calls on the the news reporters and claims his humiliation is because he is a minority Hindu. some of them then decide to make a Hijrat to India.

It is good that these Bangals cannot make a hue and cry when they are beaten by their Ghoti co-religiousist Hindus. However, I have met quite a few Bangal who came back from India where their parents took shelter.
