My simple point is that no one should live in a country they feel oppressed in. Ostensibly, Hindus don't feel safe in Pak, they should move to comparatively friendly shores. If there are minorities in India that for some reason don't feel safe and do not believe the law of the land can protect them, I would feel like a hypocrite in holding them back too.

The answer lies in the makeup of these refugees. Mostly, lower or lower middle class and not the large number of well off people that are staying. Again you quote 4000 odd people that too with Afghanistan combined. As for including BD we all know there is a illegal emigrant problem from there and that includes large number of muslims too. So don't lump us up with other countries to inflate the numbers. As I said there are 3 million members of this community, if they were in "mortal danger", they would be living in some UN camp being attacked by marauding hordes as what happens to real communities in mortal danger. On the contrary, the members of this community are studying in universities, becoming professionals, doing business and prospering, hardly what you would describe as being in mortal danger.
