Hillary called India ‘self-appointed frontrunner for UNSC’, ordered snooping

i thought we are having a serious discussion.. u turning this into a comedy club!!
ousourcing issue between india & US is going to the floor of UN??

of course it is serious
its no laughing matter
a secretary of State and aspiring future president of USA has such vile and low thoughts about a country they term as their most important stretegic partner.

in todays world, economy, geo-poltics, regional security, international commerce and employment are all inter linked and feed on each other to make a sustainable chain

a slight weakness in a link and the whole chain suffers. remember what happened to the whole world due to US subprime crises? it was taken up by the tea party and used as a hate tool against outsoucing, mexicans, chinese and what not.

Glenn Miller who is a known racist and hosts a Radio show while making fun of Indian call centre operators mentioned Hillary Clinton praising her that "she has woken up to the possibility of Indians challenging American aspirations"

what Hillary Clinton has said is not an isolated incident, she is trying to attract the angry American voter who is blaming the loss of jobs on illegal immigrants and off shore call centres.

Domestically, but she has to do more than that if she is to compete Sarah pallin. but as a Secretary of State, her remarks about a regional power that US so proudly touts as an "effective check against communist China" are nothing but shamefull

this must be a shocking development for Indian Bid for UNSC permanent seat.

i dont see as to how it is shocking development to indian bid. US, UK, Russia and france are already supporting indian bid. i thont think this leak changes anything.

After reading through your posts i am agreeing with lot of points but i too have some questions:

Let us assume that USA is playing us up with the UNSC seat, but what made them to openly support us for this bid?? Is it that most of the UN members support us and what with the use of India in future strategically they grudgingly accepted to this?? or is it that the US economy is weakened and for that they are giving us the sweet talk??

No no it is all fine my friend but it never hurts to know more opinions. Remember luckyy just before 1991 what was our situation in world politics. If today the US even if grudgingly is cosying up to us its because of the economy not of some importance to a world's largest democracy or some other soap opera as we see it.

Of course, every country putting their name forward for UNSC will be a "self-appointed frontrunner". Is anyone going to say, "Yeah we want UNSC membership, but only after country X, Y and Z"?
